sumo I Have a VTR myself, really like it, but I cant use my kayfun in it. I Don't have a multi tool to cut the ring out and the thought of spending a further £20 getting a cheap one off ebay seems a bit excessive. So I use it with an aerotank for when im out of the house. If you get one, think about getting an airflow control as well airflow control. I have heard quite a few story's of the threads on the VTR becoming stripped after 3-6 months, due to them being made of a brass connector. SS threads tend to 'chew' them up.

sumo. Just to protect the threads on the vtr from stripping. I got 1 after a friend on another forum told me his threads had stripped, and until then I had read lots of threads saying 'my threads have stripped' but ignored them. I just tightened it down using the blunt side of a knife across the slots cut in the top and it hasn't moved since when I take my tanks off. So now if I strip the threads ill just buy a new 510 for £3 and not a new vtr for £60. It will also improve airflow. If you use a mini you could get both types and leave the 510-510 on permanent and just use the ego-510 to screw on finger tight when using a mini.
Edit: The 510 on the vtr is made of brass and some other mods are the same. Stainless steel which the threads on clearoes are made of will chew through brass quite easily and over time this will ware out the brass threads until nothing will screw in anymore.

VTR all the way for me ... I suffered a 510 thread failure but managed to repair/bodge what would have been a fatal problem ... Use the airflow controller!!
It's about as stealthy as a Nuclear air strike and will do as much damage to whatever you drop it on but it will survive and you won't snap off the atty when you put it in your back pocket and then sit on it.
