Ello anyone,
As some of you know, part of my shinyitis was getting te Zmax V5, whoch is lovely to look at, but I have charge the batteries & want to use it (I am at work and have it all layed out in front of me ready to go).
Ok, so I switched it on (5 presses) and want to go through the menus to set everything to the lowest wattage/voltage.
I have clicked it 3 times & have gone to Menu .............
actually I have just worked it out how to do it hahahahahaha
Forget all of the above - I will be using it in anger shortly
Ok - 2 simple questions thast I need to know
1) I have the smaller battery in it just to keep it simple to start with - how do I switch the whole thing off if I'm going to leave it for a while?
2) In the box I got from myepack, there seems to be an extra bottom thing with a spring on it - what is that for?
Sorry for the Tim-Nice-But-Dim questions, but I want it to go flawlessly lol
Thank you all xxxxxxx

I beleive if you want to switch it off without firing you need to enter the menu - 3 presses and in the first menu is 1. out on/off pause at that screen and select off, it should not fire The extra ring is for if you were to stack batteries (not recommended!) but i keep it as a spare

Oh right - thank you Mrsmac - the battery spring thing is just a spare so I can use the one that it came attached to it with the 350 & 650 batteries without changing the bottom bit? Will switching the 1. OUT ON/OFF to "Off" stop it firing at all & I'll have to switch that back to "on" to use it? Will having it switched to "off" stop ANY battery use?

CaptainChaos I take it you managaged to get it undone? The aero's can be a pain as they are smooth finish at the bottom. If you open the airflow all the way you can use the grip on the adjustment ring to help unscrew the airflow bit off the tank. when you screw the tank back on you can grip that piece again and it will release the adjustment ring because that will probably get stuck in the full open position.

Hi CaptainChaos, well the other bottom cap is so that you can change the battery configuration to accept double batteries but as I don't use it, I just put it away for spares. three clicks to the first menu, select off. The device will then not fire until you three clicks to the first menu and let on. I only found this out on Saturday but can confirm it turns the device off. hope that helps and sorry for the delay, I didn't get a notification that you tagged me

Thanks Mrsmac - getting a bit more used to the Zmax now - just got to sort the Aerotank Mega - I have tried loads - Marigolds, work colleague, clamping real tight to open it - no luck - a friend of his has a Mega too & told him that it should not be so tight as to be unopenable like it is. I've emailed Ash to ask what he thinks.

Hi CaptainChaos I downloaded this from the Sigelei site (I think). Hope it helps with your ZMax Operation of Zmax V5 - Press 5 times continuously to turn on the mod. - Press 3 times to browse the menu when the screen has shut down. - Choose the menu, wait 2 seconds to get into it and set the item; 2 seconds are needed to get it set and another 2 seconds required to exit the menu. -The menu always starts from the first: OUT ON/OFF. MENU OF ZMAX V5 The menu has 9 different functions: 1. OUT ON/OFF Disabling the button The device can be disabled to prevent from unwanted firing by selecting ‘OUT OFF’. When ‘OUT ON’ is selected then the device will work normally and atomizer will fire. 2. VOLTAGE UP Increase voltage/wattage To increase the Voltage in 0.1 Volt increments from 3.0V to 6.0V, or power in 0.5 Watt increments from 3.0W to 15.0W. Select Voltage or Wattage setting in menu 7. 3. VOLTAGE DOWN Reduce Voltage/Wattage To reduce the Voltage in 0.1 Volt decrements from 6.0V to 3.0V, or power in 0.5 Watt decrements from 15.0W to 3.0W. Select Voltage or Wattage setting in menu 7. 4. BATTERY VOLTAGE Battery level indicator To check the Voltage of your battery. A fully charged battery will have 4.2V. We recommend charging the battery when it falls to 3.3V. Zmax will switch off automatically when the battery level reaches 3.1V. 5. LCD DISPLAY Information to display To select what the display shows you while the button is pressed: Voltage: to display the output voltage Time: to display the time of each puff Resistance: to display the resistance of atomizer Current: to display the working current 6. LCD ON/OFF Switch LCD on/off When ‘ON’ is selected, the LCD will display your settings when the button is pressed. When “OFF” is selected, the LCD will not display your settings when the button is pressed. 7. POWER VOLTAGE Select VV or VW To choose between variable voltage and variable wattage. 8. RMS&MEAN Select RMS or MEAN voltage. 9. Mobile Power Connect the cellphone with the ZMAX V5 with a USB charger. Choose ‘Mobile OUT ON’, and press for 10 seconds and it will charge the cellphone. In this period, the LCD will show ‘Warning!’ and ‘No smoking’. To stop charging, press for another 10 seconds and seperate the cellphone and ZMAX V5. Please make sure you have set Mobile Out OFF after charging. Only in this mode can you smoke. Ah! just had to do a slight edit as it reckons pressing 5 times will switch the mod off. It does'nt, at least not on mine. I have to use the menu power off, or undo the end cap and let battery disconnect, then do up the end cap again.
