I have got some cotton balls, pleats of cotton wool and some tea bags pmsl......
Hubby has a Vamo and that can read the resistances....
So all I am needing really is some of this kanthal stuff then....wohooooo...how sad is it that I am getting excited about doing my very first micro coil.....

Well last night I fell for 2 x Vamos from China, last week I purchased so much concentrate we could keep a concentrate shop.....also buying a bag of white powder that if the postman had of seen it would have had the coppers on me... ( Vanillin Powder, for my custard mix ) the week before that enough pg and vg to sink a ship with.....so maybe he just wants to stop me from falling prey to the yards and yards of Kanthal Wire I may purchase lol.....I really could open my own B and M store with the amount of stuff I buy....

Because of short-sight, cack-handedness and supreme indolence, most of the time I use these pre-mades (some in the package, one in the dripper, 2ohm)

but when I'm feeling particularly adventurous, I use this

with cotton wool.

A wick lasts me about a week. You can wash it by just holding the base under hot running water for a few seconds then letting it dry, but I rarely do.

The Octopus is pretty simple really. If you've watched a video, then you know how to rebuild it: the wire legs go through the holes in the posts and wind around the tops of the posts and, er, that's it. Just a few points to remember -+

When you've screwed the wires down, clip the excess wire off

Position the coil over the air channel on the deck (you'll know it when you see it)

Align the airhole on the body with the one on the base.

Anyway, mess about with it and see what you think.

Thank you very much.....ohhhh the premade ones are so bloomin cheap.....so I think into the basket with my ever growing Fastech order....plus buy some wire too and then I can still have a go....but incase my cack handedness plays a part I will have some premade ones to save the day LOL  Such a star.....proper made me grin today....such wonderful members this forum has......( including me too   )

Just re-wicked with an ear bud for a giggle.
Yes i know it's on a little ego, actually very handy for holding the damn thing to work on. and to quickly fire and dry burn coil etc.
I've messed up the coil a bit and it is now showing 2.7 ohm from 2.4 before i messed with it. oh well.

4.6 volts and it's chugging like an engine. I canny see my puter screen.
