i know its different according to vaping habits and VG clogs them up, but on average how long do cartomizers last in ml's on average? people alway seem to say 3-4 days but then everyone vpe different amounts so that doesnt seem a great way of measure. im gonna get kangers or maybe boges SR.

Thanks for raising this one King - I'd like to get some ideas on this one too. Can I add to this that I have seen mention of prolonging their life by cleaning them, but I'm not sure how you would go about cleaning a cartomiser?

I tend to use the large 5ml carto's for everyday use , and so far they have lasted me a good few weeks .. I prefer to use Kangers at weekend and evenings they also have lasted me a good while

Carto's can be cleaned with a cpl of methods .. I usually run hot water direct from the tap to rinse mine then dry them out .. vodka soak is also another method

I now run my cartos under a hot tap, blow out excess water and put them in a little bag in the freezer.Pop them out after a day or two and they are good to go again. I usually get a good week or two out of a cartomiser in a tank vaping it heavily.Out of a tank its 2-3 days and then performance drops and the draw tightens up.

Steradent flavoured carto's, Lovely!
If you can make a carto last 3 days out of a tank, what's that, 60 fags=£18 for £1.50 carto. A week in a tank (you do the Maths) and you want to clean them out and get another week. Bin the Bu@@ers you tight gits.

Your rite Blue, but you know how much i hate throwing working things away :)Dont get me wrong as soon as the draw tightens or flavour goes i lob them.If the flavour is still spot on and i feel they just need cleaned then thats the time i will continue to use them.I take the point about the steradent flavoured cartos though, yuk.I think i will just stick to my method of cleaning them out.

Why the freezer Ian, can't they just be left to dry naturally at room temperature?

Do I have the longest lasting cartomizer? It's a bog-standard 510. prefilled Boge from Health Cabin. It is still going strong and is well into it's third week. I use it as a 'drip tip' with the white cap removed. I drip in three drops at a time (carefully and at an angle so not to flood the battery). Using this method I generally get well over a week's use out of these atties on average. Oh, and I never wash it, just wipe the connection clean once in a while. Fox

Hi Anne, freezing the cartomiser was a great idea from another member Wayne.I have found that freezing them after a clean gives the filler wool a new lease of life and firms it back up. Foxy, some of my cartomisers i have been using for around the three week mark and they are still going good guns. Some last longer than others but i usually get a minimum of 15ml of juice through each one.

Oh 'eck, I thought that putting dirty ones in the freezer made them easy to clean. You've just reminded me that I put some dirty ones in there about 3 weeks ago
