Most people use these mainly to save the threads on mods, if you are using an atty with air intake on the side ie protanks, kayfuns etc it will not work, it only works as airflow controller on atties that get air flow from the bottom through 510 connector

Debbie13 I have these on my vtr's. Take them off the atty ,noatty on the vtr and directly screw in to threads, thus no need to pass through top ring. Hop this helps.

The threads on the VTR are made of brass and are notoriously ill fitting, and loose. IMO its only weak spot. I take it that its a protank airflow adapter one of the ego to 510 type? A friend of mine wore out and stripped his VTR threads in less than 3 months use. That is why I use one of these and have it tightened down so it wont unscrew when I take my tanks off. You can get them here Stainless 510-510 these will give you stainless 510 threads instead of the brass that the VTR has. Brass is softer than stainless and over time the stainless threads of the tanks you use will eat away at the brass until everything just spins around on top and wont tighten. Here is the finished look using an aerotank which has its own airflow control like the protank's sitting on the 510-510 airflow adaptor.

Oops thought it was the kanger one ! Been wracking my poor little brain how the heck that one would work since the coil goes in it ! Visions of holding mod upside down then putting atty on !!! Messy never seen the one you linked before !

Messy never seen the one you linked before ! I think you were right. I think it is a protank/ego-510 that's that she has. I was just saying that a 510-510 might be a good idea to stop her threads wearing out. Then the protank airflow can just screw on top.

It's pointing towards the threads worn down on your Vtr but if other atties screw in that sort of rules it out. Curiouser and curiouser.

Weird. Must be a bit of a threading issue. There has been a few problems with the vtr threads on t'internet but if yours holds atties ok it might be a pitch problem with the threads on the airflow controller. Have you tried swearing at it. That sometimes works
