Worried about leaving batteries in our Tent

Myself and 2 sons are off on our annual Glasto Festival trip in a few days and this will be my first time as a non smoker.

I will fully charge all my ego style batteries before leaving and then use one at a time till they die. I'm worried stupid about leaving the batteries in the tent, as even with a slightly sunny day, tents are like an oven. Do you think I'm over panicking about it? Due to this fear I'm loathed to take my beloved MVP, even though it is the ideal battery for a festival as it lasts so long.

I'm planning on taking all the ego style batteries I own - 2 x 650mah, 2 x 1100mah, 1 x 1100mah spinner. I'm hoping this will be enough to last from arrival on Wednesday morning untill getting back in the car on Monday morning - so 5 days. I already have one of those portable back up chargers which usually gives about 5 complete phone charges, and now I've also got 2 smaller capacity back up chargers for my kids to use for their phones, so if I do manage to exhaust all vape batts I can at least get enough charge in one to get me through the final night!!

Does anyone have any advice / insights around the whole battery temperature storage thing?

Mods - I noticed another camping related thread but it's regarding camper vans and charging, not specifically tents and paranoia!! However, please feel free to merge this with it if you think I should of posted in there

What about keeping them in one of those insulated cool lunch bags?

wrap each battery up in a flannel and secure with elastic bands the fabric around the battery will stop it overheating in a tent

I was camping in the Scillies in early May, and I know what you mean about tents being like ovens. I had all my juices in a Tupperware sandwich box with lid, and even in their individual ziplok bags, they got very warm and one leaked a bit. I thin the insulated picnic box idea is great coupled with ronaldo's suggestion about flannels etc.
Take your eGo charger with you, you might be able to top up a battery somewhere that has mains (there might be a small charge - no pun intended! - for this).

This is something that concerned me, I've looked into it and as expected batteries, like us, function best at room temp.
Storing and using at high temperatures, 45-60c, doesn't seem to be a safety issue, it does effect the performance and longevity
of the battery though.

I avoid leaving them in direct sun in a confined space like a car, which can get extremely hot on a sunny day, and do as ronaldo
and Karma said when I'm camping, wrap them and put them in a small cool bag.

I take all types of batteries with me to Spain and have left them in the car etc. I've never had a problem.

You could neatly dig a little hole (repair it before you leave) under the flysheet and put them in that in a Tupperware box covered by the turf.

I'll be taking my intellicharger i4 to Vapefest (insh'allah!) so anyone who needs a charge is welcome - I'll be in my bijou Romahome camper in the pen area for all the nutters off AAeC. All you Ego fans, just bring your battery + USB charger, no problemo!

I have my barriers in a conservatory as that is where I spend most of my working day whilst not serving customers. The batteries do get quite hot even in the shade so I think ronaldo and Karma suggestions are both very good and sensible.

Karma I have one of those cool bag but after one day in a tent it's never very cool anymore - judging by the liquid state the butter usually morphs into anyway!! However, a combination of all the suggestions is maybe the way to go. I'm now thinking I will stick 'em in a ziplock bag, wrap a cool flannel around (cheers ronaldo)and check/re-cold it a couple of times a day (yeah I know re-cold's not a real word - go with it!)and also see if it's possible to do what VapingBad suggested and make a little hole in the ground.

DiscoDes - That makes me feel much happier and I'm going to stop worrying now. It'll never get as hot there as the inside of a car in Spain (well it did in 2010 but that was a total exception to the norm!)

And zeldamum - I'm pretending you never even mentioned the 'R' word - *fingers in ears...la la laaa*
