I can change it nps, I found 0.2 to be easier when I was doing them myself. Each to their own I guess, it's maybe easier to make a microcoil with thinner 0.2 but you'd only get 4 or 5 wraps to get anything usable ohms wise. 4 or 5 wraps is fine for a standard coil but the purpose of a microcoil is to increase surface area in contact with wick and juice so a low wrap count mc defeats the purpose IMO. 0.2 coil would also be pretty flimsy, microcoils are better more robust so there difficult to damage with repetitive wick changes

True, but any more than 7/8 wraps takes an age to heat up and I found thicker wire to be a PITA in kanger heads when you're trying to trim the legs. 0.25 is probably just about the limit and would still be easy-ish for a beginner to get a decent looking coil. Sod it, I'll send you both sonicflowjoe , you've done me a favour. If one of them is no use, Pay it Forward

Lol cheers @john2k5 that would be most generous of you! BTW have you considered FA Golden Rollie? It's a good one for ex rollie smokers like myself. I have some of the concentrate. It's really good value as you only need to use 2 or 3 % in a mix. I'll chuck in a little sample if that's of interest

Any tobaccos would be great buddy, and very welcome! Like I say, it's not for me and I don;t pretend to know anything about tobacco flavours, but he really wants to stay of the ciggies this time and his ADV disappearing from sale doesn't help. Hopefully one will be good for him and the rest will end up on the PIF thread for someone else to have a go

I never trim the legs, I'm a wiggler I find 0.3 takes too long to heat up for me but 0.25 pretty instant with 9 or 10 wraps. everyones different though so it's all about finding what works best for you

I have aspirations to be a wiggler... But think I must be doing something wrong because when I've tried that with the prewound ones I got from FT it ends up pulling the coil down a bit from where I just nicely positioned it. So resorted to snipping the legs off and live with the little spikey bits that are left protruding

When wiggling first hold the head between index finger and thumb of one hand and squeeze a little so you compress the rubber bung a little then wiggle
