Throat hit...is it just me?

When I have my first few puffs after getting up, I can feel the throat hit fine, no problems. After that, it disappears, I just vape and puff out the mist, but can still mildly taste the juice flavour, particularly if it's a fresh carto or it's just been topped up. If I don't vape for a while during the day, for whatever reason, I get the throat hit again with the first few puffs, then it's gone again.
Does anyone else have this happen to them? I'm just assuming it's normal

I'm so glad you've brought this up Anne.... it's exactly what I've noticed. After having a meal and having the first one in the morning makes me cough.... but after that it seems to get weaker. Have been wondering if I need to up the nicotine or change the mix. I've been having 18-20mg and generally a 50/50 mix. There's a few times I really need a good throat hit.... but can't seem to get it. I tend to reach for a fag then - which I'd rather do without.

Have been considering getting a lavatube or suchlike.... just for the times when I want a good smack in the throat (not literally just in case anyone wants to put themselves forward for the job )

actually a lavatube would be good for that ...up the volts to get a good TH when required

Lol! Not a good solution dee. I vape med. too and as Gordy knows, I tried high to attempt getting a better taste and it didn't work, it just tasted horrible, so forget that one, IMO anyway.

I think we need some long term vapers opinions on this one, I'm sure something's not right somewhere - unless it is normal. But then, why bother mentioning a throat hit when it's over in a couple of puffs!

yeah the voltage... if you up the voltage the coil gets hotter and hits harder
have you tried a LR atty or carto as they get hotter and give the same effect without the need for a higher voltage.

Thanks Anne.... I did wonder if upping the nic would affect the taste. Maybe if I went for a different mix instead it might help. I have felt a bit confused the last few days because I seem to be wanting a bit more of something.... and I don't know what it is

a higher PG percentage will give a harsher hit too and carries the flavour better than VG... personally i like a little VG to take the edge off the harshness. higher nic will give you more TH and change the flavour

I can't use LR atties on my PV, the mAh is too low on the batteries, I think they have to be over 1000? (Please correct me someone if I'm wrong.)

It may work for you, upping the nicotine percentage dee, it just didn't for me. *Yuck*

On my next order I think I'll try a higher PV mix - might even try a higher nic content. As a newbie I guess it's a bit suck and see til you get the right hit. Might take a while... but it's all better than poisoning yourself smoking muck. And there's a huge range of flavours to try - butterscotch next.... I'm determined to find a new addiction - especially as flashing doesn't go down well round here. I've far to many court orders as it is !

yeah the 50/50 will take the hit off a bit so try at least 70% PG if not higher ...its all trial and error ...what cartos/atty are you using deegee ?

I'm seeing things, or should that be not seeing things. I could have sworn that was there, then it wasn't, now it is and I haven't been sniffing the pratt stick either. I'm going round the bend, must be these new tablets I'm on.

Ive been mainly using cartidges and atties with the Riva kit I bought. Had a couple of free Cartomisers from Jason (the man's a hero ! ) I've had a better taste using the cartos... but would rather try other flavours using cartos to give a better comparison. The cartos I had were the Boge and Kanger SR ones.
