It was in a brown half sheet paper size jiffy bag, did not look that thick, i send out paperwork in thicker envelopes than that no problem. Irony is if i had gone to the post office it would have cost me £1.50 to park the car.

this whole new postage thing is crap. The one juice I sent this week to carpman1 cost £2.50 as it wouldn't quite fit through the bloody hole in the guide thingy. Lets go back to the old days or come up with a better sizing/price thing .. if it fits through a letter box it;s one price - if it doesn't charge extra ?? all those in favour say Aye ! LOL AYE!!! |

The thing is, when you take it to the post office, they pop it through their letter box template and say it doesn't fit so instead if paying large letter you have to pay small parcel.
However the postman then delivers it, and it fits through the letter box no problem ???

The post in this country isn't as bad as the USA ....
I sent some Marmite over there to a mate & because I'd written a hell of a lot of sarcastic comments on the package (for example "If this stops ticking, don't open it!" and "dear lovely post person - please treat this package gently because it is full of really delicate 'stuff' that you can't get on the USofA" and a smiley face)
and you know what?
They just sent it back to me with "Unable to deliver" on it!!!!
So I sent another package with no comments on it & it got there no problem grrrrrrrr
