Junk the coils, full strip down and wash with nice hot water/washing liquid and toothbrush, then rinse Dry, build and vape A sonic cleaner is the lazy way to get them spotless though.

VapingBad my 2 kayfuns have arrived from focal should I strip them and throw away the coil and wick that is in there and give them a good scrub tell me what you would do with them I would, mine were not as dirty as the FT ones, I put the o'rings, centre pin & negative connection block on a loop of wire so they don't go down the plug hole. It is also good to clean the air intake out if you have a 1.2 mm dill bit handy and line up the air holes in the bottom of the centre pin with the intake, but don't over tighten those center pins are not very strong. The weakest point of these is the fill hole is not counter sunk very well, I put PTFE tape on the fill screw, but I think that I read decoy sands them smooth. Have fun

The Kayfuns I got from Focal had the most shocking pre-made wicks I've ever seen. The wicks were fraying badly and there was glass fibre (silica) dust all over the inside of the chamber. I did NOT want that in my lungs!

i dont sand down the fill hole i have re countersunk one cause it was pants i personalty would strip them right down (center pin and everything) i boiled mine and wow you can see the crap that comes outa them when new yuck when your putting the center pin back in take note of were the 2 holes are in it and line them up with the air intake hole on the deck if poss(helps a lot with the whistling) i all so drill out the drip tip (again helps with the whistling) if you find it 2 tight a draw use a ruddy good 1.5 mm drill bit on the air hole in the deck if still 2 tight 2mm but not much point in going bigger(take the center pin out before drilling) then follow this vid this is if its a kfl v1 hope that helps ronaldoi use the wicking technique in the vid and it works down to .6 ohm and good luck with the filling of the little suckers
