Someone on the Fasttech forum just posted this: Anyone else received this email in English? I suppose this means you can't even put in a claim if you don't receive the goods

Have had no issues with PayPal or eBay honouring buyer protection or seller protection for us. However, ecigs were banned on eBay about 5 years ago, they don't seem to police it anymore though. Its not an ecig if its a personal vapouriser Sent from my GT-I9300 using proboards

Not seen this before, however if it proves to be the case might be an idea to pay by credit card instead as this will give protection.

Actually come to think of it, I think that email was sent to someone who put in a dispute against FT. So I don't think it is a general email everyone will get.
Alot of people including myself have put in Paypal disputes against FT over the last couple of weeks due to a shipping problem with Malaysia Post. My package has been stuck at Malaysia Post for over 6 weeks. I'll probably get one of those emails too.
Not a good thing though to get after you've paid via paypal for e-cig goods then find out you're not covered if the goods do not arrive. What difference does it make whether it's e-cigs or chocolate bars, if your goods don't arrive you should be able to claim via paypal eh.

Jay They have - their rules, they closed all accounts for USA ecig companies several years ago, when the FDA claimed they were medicines. The didn't notice that the FDA lost that argument in the courts. This is why USA ecig vendors don't normally use Paypal, whilst those in Europe do.
Ebay police ecigs in the same way they police everything - via user reports, they pull hundreds of listings every day.

I wonder how Paypal would react then to mixed orders. My order that is stuck at Malaysia Post does not just contain e-cig stuff. I've got non e-cig stuff in it, so I wonder where I will stand then if I go ahead with the claim after 20 days.

I think you can describe e-cigs as electronic goods in description for a claim.

I think you can describe e-cigs as electronic goods in description for a claim. They know what you buy as they get the itemised receipt as well at the time of purchase.

Well I have just opened a dispute with PayPal over my other order as my 45 day limit is just about up, I have read the messages on the fasttech forum, will still have to wait and see what happens.

Indeed, I have had a listing for one of my e-Pipes pulled by eBay (but not others, strangely) twice last month. (Apparently this happens if someone complains) It is this kind of incoherent, inconsistent and arbitrary type of action that has lead to listing my pipe sales on my web site now. They quoted FDA mistaken rules to me (which, of course, have no relevance outside the US). But they continue to list smoking pipes, eGo e-cigs disguised as "shisha" stuff and so forth !
