Montana I've always had to screw the beauty ring up flush to the bottom of the Protank to stop it wobbling on my spinner, I always thought that was part of the reason for having the beauty ring in the first place. I've never over tightened my tanks on my batteries, I probably could tighten them a bit more without worrying about the pin but as it was one of the first things I read about I'm almost paranoid now about screwing the battery into the tank rather than the tank onto the battery and as soon as I feel the tiniest bit of bite then I stop, if the battery doesn't fire then its a 1/4 turn more until it does. The MVP has been on my wish list for a while now but having read this thread and a couple of other comments about them I'm now uming and ahing about it. MVP is a very good piece of kit at an affordable price, I think most problems with threads etc are probably caused by user error , don't let this thread put you off buying one Sent from my iPhone using Crapatalk

One thing I would say, those cheapo chargers can be rather dangerous. There is a breakdown of one on ukv by torchy the battery boy. If you do go for this kit, get a different one but nothing with fire in its name.

Montana I was wary about vamo threads at first but with 510 connecting tanks I use a beauty collar as provided with the aerotank etc. The collar is well hidden by the collar of the vamo. I just nip the beauty collar up to the base of my aerotank and theres no wobble at all, wobble kills threads.

Just been having a scout around and I 've seen some indications and posts the VTR V2 has a spring loaded centre pin, can someone with one confirm this for me please.
Many thanks.

My V2 Vamo is nearly 12 months old and the threads are just fine thankyou - well the ego threading is almost unusable tanks to the lip but the 510 threads don't really look anymore worn then they did when I got the thing and trust me it has been well used!

By what I've experienced and the features, spring loaded centre pin and the price difference between the MVP and the VTR , the VTR seems to be a much better buy.
The only two downsides I can think of quickly are that the VTR can only take up to certain size atty's ( I don't know up to what size it can take, can someone confirm this for me ? ) and there isn't any kind of passthrough system for it.If that's it I can live with that.

Montana. I have no idea if the VTR v2 has a spring loaded centre pin but regardless the threads are made of brass which means they are likely to die. An airflow controller is therefore a good investment. Yes you are right - I think the VTR can only take upto 19mm diameter attys. This means my anyvape davide but not my KFL clone. It does have an extender but then it becomes mega bulky... Still great mod. Great buy

Just to clear things up , why use that particular air controller, is is made of a different material , or do you mean to use that and not damage the thread on the mod then if the thread does go you can just replace the airflow controller ? The thing that worries me is the wobble on the tank even when there is contact to the centre pin , as someone else said , wobble = very bad for threads.I was screwing the tank down to the centre pin and getting a contact and there was still a lot of wobble and I had to screw the beauty collar up so much I was almost running out of thread on the beauty collar and was worrying about damaging the threads on the beauty collar, one way or another I didn't want to damage threads somewhere. If that makes sense , lol.

Max atty size 19 km, pro tanks and aero tanks fit fine, centre pin on mine are sprung. I use the airflow controllers on both my vtr's, just screw them in and then attach your atty to that rather than taking the atty on and off continually thus preserving the threads.

Thanks for that prr , is yours the V2 and how can you tell if it is a V2 other than the spring loaded centre pin, is it written on the device somewhere ?

Montana I've got a v1 and a v2, both sprung the difference is the atty connector on the v1 rotates but is fixed on the v2.
