Today I managed to successfully rebuild an iClear 30b head with a single micro coil and cotton. Wasn't sure if this would be possible but thought it was worth a try and pretty pleased with the results. Followed a video on youtube that shows you how to dismantle the thing (with difficulty). I wrecked the first one I tried. Was a bit worried it would leak with the extra gap where the second coil is supposed to go so filled it with a pretty hefty cotton flavour wick on top. Not really sure if this was needed or not (but it hasn't leaked yet). Might try it without as the draw is slightly tight with it in but still seems to be out peforming the stock 1.8 ohm coils I had. Just thought I'd share in case anyone else was thinking of trying to rebuild these. Would also be interested to here from anyone else who has had success with rebuilding these heads. Cheers

Just to follow on from this. I found that the extra cotton I put over the top to stop it leaking was obstructing the draw too much so experimented with taking it out and it just flooded. However..... I got to thinking maybe it would be possible to fit a standard protank single coil head in it. Tried this and wouldn't screw in due to the diameter of the round disc bit on the base (sorry for the very untechnical term) that the chimney fits into was too large. So I tried it with another head I had from an evod that has a shorter chimney and the diameter of the circular part on this is smaller. This one fitted in snuggly. Next problem was that the head does not screw in far enough to make contact with the battery. Got round this by pulling the pin out of the bottom of the head by a couple of millimetres. Tested it on my MVP and it showed a reading of 1.7ohms. Contact was made! Long story short, I had to put a silicone cap over it and then put two more of them on the chimney upside down and then the head slotted perfectly into the air hole with no gaps. Vaping great now on a single micro coil and it's so much better than the stock heads. Don't have to turn the power right up anymore just to get a half decent vape and drain the battery in the process... Can maybe post some pics at some point if anyone's interested how to do this as i'm not sure the above makes much sense?

Hmmm was a while ago... I'm afraid I don't have the 30b anymore. As nobody was interested I didn't take any pics at the time. It is possible if you find the right size head, think it was an evod one.

I was scratching my head trying to work out how to recoil a 30, until I saw the YouTube vid where a guy simply wraps the neg lead around the slot at the top of the pillar (single coil build). Sorted!

Oh... now that makes sense. I bet you googled it and ended up on your own forum? Happens to me, a LOT. I google something and then find some bloke called DJS has replied to a thread on it out there in cyber doodley-dandy land.

well, I got the top cover/chimney off finally, but it remains to be seen if it'll still fit in the clearo body (as it's a bit bent...). Recoiling itself will be a doddle, it's whether it'll fit without leaking....time will tell....
