I need some help please guys.
A few months ago I bought a 3d dripper clone with 510 adapter from a trader at a large bank holiday market.
When I went to build it, there were no threads where the coils screws would go.
I contacted the seller and they sent me a replacement.
This one didn't fit any of my mods (the 510 adapter wasn't machined correctly and was much larger than it should've been) and so I contacted the seller again and was sent yet another.
This one was fine so I packaged the others up and sent them back first class recorded.
Time has since passed and I've received a facebook message from the seller earlier today basically saying that the items hadn't arrived and if they hadn't arrived within a week he would be coming to my home.
I explained that I had sent them weeks ago and would find the proof of postage to forward onto him.
I've looked high and low and can't find the receipt. Likelihood is that it's been mistakenly binned.
Upon being told this, the seller is threatening to "take this legal".
Where do I stand if I can't find the proof of postage? Can he really take me to court?
Thankyou everyone

As a trader, he could take you to a small claims court. Where he will show he sent replacements out until you were satisfied with what you had. Then you would be asked to show proof that you sent back the faulty goods.
Did you have to supply the post office with your name and address when you sent the goods by recorded delivery? If you did, then they may be able to check their records without the tracking number and give you back the info you need.

well seeing as takeing some one to the small clams court costs i cant see that happening and as for coming round your home you have more on him now than he has on you why i here you ask because you saw it as a threat or at least that's what you tell the cops when you go to the cop shop and show them the messages on fb tell the cops your not making a complaint as yet but you want to make them aware of what is going on because you think he was threatening to come round and ether hurt you or poss damage your property(gives you a safety net if needed)
or get the aaec posse rounded up and go see him lol

If you know the date you sent it , and the postcode, royal mail WILL have a record of it (as it's recorded). Whether they'll give you the info is another matter! If you ask nicely, at the post office you used, they MAY be able to help. If not, does the po have CCTV, and how long do they keep the tapes? Tell the vendor you are on CCTV, sending it, and the date/time will match up with the postal records, if a it goes to court. Moral of the story - send the tracking number of the parcel to the recipient, then there's always an accessible record of it! Hope you get it sorted soon.
