when i had my spheroids they had the same screws in the v3 wasnt out then

Judging by the picture i would say it's coming from the bolt, maybe where it has been cleaned with water and not dried....just left to dry.

Got a responce from vapourart. There is a difference between oxidisation and rust, the former adds, the latter removes. In your case you have oxidisation or/and a short. The internal of the base needs frequent cleaning, especially when the juices have oxidising ingredients in their composition and current flows thru a positive post at the same time.. Even SS can be oxidised in such conditions if there is no maintenance. The remedy is simple: once per week, depending on your juice, disassemble the base, rub it with a toothbrush and soap to remove the oxides, before they start to become rust. We haven't any report about rust, for the aforementioned reasons.
