Well, I am one year quit today. So I called my insurance company in the hope of a reduced premium (you would think so anyway).
But alas, no. E-cigarettes apparently have the same risk profile as actual cigarettes. So they will be getting ditched pretty shortly. (Bright Grey incase anyone was interested to know who the insurers are).
So, I'm guessing I wont be the first to be wanting vape friendly life insurance. So who have you guys got?

xs2man, just a thought, did you contact to ask as a non smoker or as a vaper? I sometimes wonder just what the difference would be based upon medical grounds.(given the ongoing change of attitudes within certain sectors of the medical fraternity)

A couple of months back, I was looking into it. The lassie had to call me back after a period of time, having checked with the underwriters, and told me industry practise is as follows:
If you have used any nicotine product (vaping, patches, gum, tampon puffer, snuff, snus, etc) within the last 12 months you are likely to return to smoking within a short period.
B0ll0X!
Didn't think to as her if my gran ( never smoked) is in this bracket, as she regularly eats pototos, tomatoes and aubergines weekly, and drinks about a gallon of tea a day.

They said the use of ecigs keeps me in the same risk band as a smoker though. I told them to bin the critical illness then, they weren't happy. But that's only gonna happen if I can't find a reasonable insurer anyway. fred Yeah, utter nonsense. I have no inclination to back to cigarettes ever. I have a decades supply of nic to get through first.
