No -one else use S/S mesh, then? ( > ducks & runs for cover< ) Love SS rope, lushest flavour & best wicking performance. My ADV, just use Kayfun or dirpper with cotton, now Rayon when I want something lighter and the Kayfun for out and about. Not many tanks can use SS meah or rope and it's a step learning curve for some so is a bit off topic. A couple of years ago people were also using ceramic wick, I've never tried it and it seems to consigned to history now anyway.

Well done my first coil (practice well make perfect) got it at 1.3ohm. Thanks for your knowledge. I was findin it fiddly getting the wick through the holes into tank.

This might sound daft but cotton wool makes me gringe just the feel of it gives me goose bumps lol If you don't like the feel of CW I'd say you definitely won't like the feel of Rayon. It's got a feeling a bit like if you dig your fingernails into the material they use on bus seats...*shudders. I find the feel of it very cringey although it does seem to be peforming pretty well as a wick so far. I don't mind the feel of normal cotton wool but rayon is a different story.

Seems wicking material is personal choice really. Personally I use silica because I cape mainly sweeter juices and I find it gives a better flavour. As long as you find what works for you thats all that really matters.
