Hi All
Just completed me first week with my EVOD 2, not missing the fags at all, hope it stays that way Been vaping tobacco flavours (picked uo a Golden Virginia and a Old Holbourn of a local dealer £4.00 for the 2, Viking I think their name is, normally £3.00 each but she gave me th old Holbourn for £1.00 to try. Finding I enjoy it better with a little menthol or vanilla mint in.
One problem is I dropped the Evode on th pavement and the battery is still working fine but I get no vape at all, I changed the atomiser and still no different. When I use the other clearomiser it all works fine so I know the battery is ok, the one thing about the stainless steel EVOD is it can be quite slippy I think I will have to get a new Clearomiser next weekend, unless anyone has any ideas.
Thanks

Hi bobmcdee and welcome. You might have knocked the coil loose when you dropped your evod try tightening it if this fails try replacing it. Well done on your first week smoke free.

Hi bobmcdee There is not a lot that can go wrong on a clearo, that would cause it to not work. As long as the threads make a contact and centre pin make a contact the coil should heat up, as the whole metal base conducts the current. Even damaged threads would be hard pressed to stop it working. Try pulling out the centre pin on the atty a little bit (like in the pic below) dont pull it to hard as you don't want the pin to come all the way out.

Do you have a different battery to try? Do you have a different clearo to try? You say the battery is working fine - is that because the light comes on when you press the button? Do you have any way to test the output from the battery? I say this, because one of my original batteries, the +be wire detached itself from the centre pin, inside the battery. Also, has the jolt of the drop pushed the battery centre pin in slightly? to the forum and congratulations on your first week!

Yes the battery work fine on my other one, co I have 2 batteries and 1 clearo.
In the startapack there are 2 units and a pack of atomisers, so I am OK vaping away with what I have at the moment but wondered if ther was something I could do with he faulty. I have had a couple of ideas off this site so I will have a look later Thanks

You say you've replaced the atomiser head in the faulty clearo? If,yes to both of the above, I think the only thing that could be wrong with an evod, is that it is not fully screwed together properly. Do you have access to a multimeter to test, the resistance of the clearo and replacement head? As hijack said, not a lot can go wrong really! Try dismantlingmthe clearo, and rebuild it carefully.

Did as suggested Stripped it down, fitted a new atomiser and all is working fine now. You are right, there isn't a lot that can go wrong with them, its like the old golden rule "always check the simplest thing first"
Now got both on ghe go, one with "golden Virginia with a drop of menthol-the other with RY4 with a dropof vanilla mint
Thanks again

bobmcdee - welcome to the forum, and well done on your two weeks fag-free! Glad we were able to get you back into action again - there's nothing more frustrating than a bit of kit that really should be working but isn't - it dies make us all mindful of the forum mantra which is "backups for your backups!".
