Is there a reason why photo uploading via tapatalk via mobile is disabled?

Hello & welcome smeghead I've not disabled photo uploading via tapatalk. Does the "add image to post" tab not work for you?

Use photobucket. Upload to there and copy paste the code into your post

Thats what i do Steve. Always use photobucket. Then it is there for further use as well. Especially if you have the photobucket app as well.

Ah, I'm wondering if tapatalk are trying to get you to use the attachment facility? If so, that is disabled for everyone as we ran out of attachment storage space a long time ago & it was no longer needed after I added the "add image to post" facility.

Yes you could be right , as the only option I could see was via the insert attachment !

Thanks mrlimbo - that screenshot confirms it So it does look like tapatalk users will have to use a hosted link like photobucket to post pics.
