I take it this is about the Panasonic NCR 18500, so you like both the Sibeile 18500 & Panasonic 18500 then I think the NCR is a no go because of the low amp limit and what safety features it had. ronaldo had mentioned xtar previous to that post so I imagine he had looked at that site. ???
ronaldo wrote it in reply to a post mainly about the NCR (btw I agree too low discharge current), but a couple of posts above he said he would look at the data for the Sibeili and two posts after he said he would look for data on the Xtars so there is a little ambiguity.

Yes got a bit confusing. I have discounted the Panny due to the 3.8A discharge. I agree with hijack that the AWT performance graph on the Ecolux web site makes it look like a good performing battery. The Sibeile lags behind a bit but I haven't found any negative comments in my searches so I'm hovering over the buy now button on those two. Still don't know why we don't see more Xtar or for that matter Nitecore batteries used for vaping. Might be the AW & Efest effect?

Cheers, that's what I thought you probably meant, I was thinking of picking a couple of 18350 Sibeiles from Torchy at VF.

Placed an an order for the Sibeile and AWT in 18500 and a pair of AWT 18350's. Interested to see how they perform. Need them as I've just got shipping confirmation of my Microstick and the 18500 extender

I can answer the nitecore battery problem they don't have a factory big enough for mass production so they only make them on a small scale and they sell out very fast to fast for exports so we don't really get them over here I have had a couple for testing in the past but they wouldn't send us a lot for testing so we wouldn't give them a rating but personally I love them I would happily use them all the time very good batteries

the xtar batteries seem to have been tested and got there safety certificate from America I have sent a request for the testers identity and they have no choice they have to give me the info as soon as I have it I can converse with the tester to see if his testing standards are to the same standard a ours and then I can give you my honest opinion
I have read the testers initial report and it looks good but without knowing there testing method I wouldn't like to comment as I would be giving you someone else's opinion and not mine I will have the testers personnel id in the next ten minutes

right I have read the testers report VapingBad I have also looked into the way that there factory tests I have also checked the qualifications of the tester and I am happy with the tester and the testing method so here goes bear in mind this test was done by another tester that I do have trust in as I have read a lot of his reports and not by me I am trying to reword this so people will understand it here goes ...........his findings were as follows the xtar battery performs well at all normal operating temperatures and when a battery is allowed to cool down it has no detrimental effect on its performance I have tested 25 of these batterys and found they are all pretty similar in construction the wall of the battery in extremely thick for a battery which in turn adds to the weight and I don't think it is necessary the internal construction of the cell is very well made but upon removing the cell from the casing it is visibly smaller than a standard cell and this is one factor that the ma of these batterys are not as high as most other batterys upon charge and discharge tests I have found that the battery comes within the 10% scale so the battery has achieved a pass so I phoned the tester and he told me the only other info that he has is that the batterys that they tested were about 4% lower capacity than stated and I personally think 4% is not to bad as we can only fail them if 22% of batterys are 10% or more under capacity hope this helps sounds like a decent battery to me

Thank's very much ronaldo, the 18500 look to be a very good spec 12 A continuous, 16.5 A pulse discharge and they are not purple, just ordered a pair. The Sibeile has the edge in 18350 though.

That's good info ronaldo The AWT 18500 has 15a continuous and 18A short burst, similar to the Xtar. Good to see there's choices of decent batteries in the smaller sizes that aren't purple or red.

for more information I am not allowed to give the name but you will know what I am talking about the purple ****** batteries failed there testing again today don't state the name but yes you have it in one and the manufacturer was on the phone today furious I am meeting with him tomorrow as because they have failed twice they only have one more time they can submit them before they have to totally alter them so tomorrow will be fun and games

We are lucky to have you ronaldo, I see many people recommending those unmentionable batteries just because they are they paid for them, they are the only high-drains they have and it's human nature to back their choice. I just hope there are not many extreme sub-ohmers using them believing the pulse rating to be the continuous.
