We are lucky to have you ronaldo, I see many people recommending those unmentionable batteries just because they are they paid for them, they are the only high-drains they have and it's human nature to back their choice. I just hope there are not many extreme sub-ohmers using them believing the pulse rating to be the continuous. I am only giving my bit back to the forum and very soon I will be asking for help myself as I get into mixing as I still haven't done any yet if I can keep our hobby safe I will I argue like hell with manufacturers on the phone but by that time I have made me decision and like I always say MY decision is final and I wont change it I always work on the safety aspect

Thank's very much ronaldo, the 18500 look to be a very good spec 12 A continuous, 16.5 A pulse discharge and they are not purple, just ordered a pair. The Sibeile has the edge in 18350 though. That was quick, I ordered them just before that post and they are already in the post within the hour, may get them before VF.

I just hope there are not many extreme sub-ohmers using them believing the pulse rating to be the continuous. You have to look at each recommendation you make in terms of what the OP needs them for and how much they understand. A person who is upgrading from ego/evod and wants batteries and charger to go with a VTR from myepack, its better IMO to say 'just tick the option for the RED batteries and the nitecore'. Being that there is plenty of time ahead to find out about all the different batteries, and those will be fine until the next upgrade. When its a new mech user, a bit more investigating is needed and maybe a crash coarse in batteries is more beneficial than a simple recommendation, as you can recommend all you like but it may not stop someone choosing something unsuitable.

hijack good points, but I still have the Red 18350s I got for a Lambo LavaTube V1 and now use them in mechs. So I would tend to recommend good high-drain IMR like VTCs as they are always good and in case the person moves on to a mech, SX3x0 or DNA30 as if you have a few batteries and rotate them they can last a couple of years or more.
