A very big thanks to seniorphil for the grommets that I received through the post today , a EXTRA kind and generous gift.
I'm still a bit gutted that I didn't get to see you , but there's always another time , I didn't see anyone with AAEC badges either , perhaps a I was walking round with my eyes on the juices instead , lol.

seniorphil thank you again mate, just got round to stripping mine and managed 7 good cells very happy Now in case some people didn't realise....these batteries, as they come are not suitable for certain mech mods. This is because the bottom of the battery (the negative) is completely uncovered, below is a pic of 2 bottom buttons, one is a caravela switch and the other is a nemesis switch. As you can see the nemesis switch (on the right) is insulated so no problem here....however, the caravela switch on the left has no insulation which means if you use these batteries you will be constantly firing even when not pressing the switch. Obviously this will not affect regulated mods but I thought it was worth a mention....I will be heat shrinking mine the same as the purple efest in the pic so I don't need to worry what battery I use in anything. Hopefully that all made sense, just thought it was worth a mention in case people didn't realise

If they're flat tops you could just reverse them in mech mods. Just listen to your atty when you first do it to check.

Thanks for the batteries Phil, only one dud in one of the cases (still have to open the other). I have one question though - how do you get rid of the connections on the top & bottom of the batteries? plus mine also have the black adhesive blobs so will be getting some heatshrink wrap. The one battery that didn't have to plaque (black dots) lasted 2 days in my Vamo brilliant. anubis

That now makes another good reason for me to redo some of the batteries covering. Its only recently that i've started sidling towards mechanical mods as its taken me half a year to start understanding (for my safety )
