I just think a FREE event whatever it is has a lifespan, and the yearly Vapefest may have run it's course, (mainly as it is so well attended now) this is just my own opinion though.

richo71 I was amazed at T-Juice and Halcyon Haze - The tent was big enough but they didn't have enough staff to cope with the demand, hence massive queues with a very long wait, they should have known that there would be high demand at T-Juice
I went to their tent and passed it many times. There was just the 2 ladies and one guy doing the new juices for T-juice and those poor souls were there and from what I saw , had no break all day.
One big advantage to ALL the vendors with having a paid event ( be it inside or outside ) is that you can tell how many are going to come before the event and staff accordingly. Also with a lot of events like this they sell tickets on the day to , it depends on the weather with an outdoor event on who turns up on the day.If it's a nice day with an outside venue and there is a lot of people in the ticket queue "On the day sales" , then have a back plan or maybe just over staff so you can give potential future customers better customer service even at an event like this. A HUGE advantage with an indoor venue is that you will have a lot better look at who's coming as people know they're going to be in the dry and can gauge how many staff members to have, because there will be less on the day ticket sales. The one disadvantage with an indoor event is that you lose a lot of atmosphere compared with an indoor and camping atmosphere too. I also think that with the numbers of vapers growing so rapidly now that vendors need to think about this for next years event well in advance along with the organisers.
This isn't a rant or pointing the finger at anyone , far from it, I thoroughly enjoyed this years Vapefest and can put me down for next years already, be it inside, outside , paid or free and I think that is the consensus by us all here.

I'm totally dyspraxic! It's almost a good job I don't have wheels clairea .....I was lethal enough with a pram! I was always clobbering people on the back of their heels and sending them flying, how mortifying was quite relieved once my crew grew past that stage (and I bet the people around me were thankful too) When my son was a few weeks old I popped into M&S for a pastie and placed it on the rainshield as I went to counter, it slipped off, I slid on it, as I fell to my knees and automatically jerked the pram handle down --and catapulted my baby 8 foot across shop floor I'd not strapped him in and its a good job he was swaddled in blankets... Pepperty you and I together would be a nightmare for all those around us

I would be happy to go back to the same venue again, the camping idea made it great, it would have been improved if there'd have been food available for breakfast though. There could have been 2 food stalls and a bar at either end of the event and they would have still all been busy. The long queues for food made it a bit of a nightmare.
The other idea would be to charge £10 entrance and give each person 5 raffle tickets as part of the entrance charge that way there would be money coming from everyone who attended and no need to set up a separate stall just to sell the raffle tickets. I noticed that quite a few were only buying 1 or 2 tickets, by making it part of the entrance charge there would be more money in the kitty.

Sent from me from some far away land.

Hi all, even though i could not grace this years festival in person, upon reading your posts although in the main it was enjoyed by most the main topic of discussion that keeps popping up from reading the posts is that a few of the vendor stalls were too small and some inaccessible, was this the general criticism overall ie: (small tents in a bigger area than last year, but still the same mad rush & crush?) sounds like they solved the problem of the area size but not the vendor tent size! would anyone who went to this years festival think that it would be beneficial to be a paid/ticketed event and held at a indoor arena, now that it is so popular and attendances going up year on year, lots of other advantages of being indoor too. Big kudos to this years organizers for organizing an ever growing event and for FREE Funny enough, I was discussing this with one of the vendors & the NEC Birmingham was mentioned......One of the things he did say though, was that the pitches for the vendors would probably be in the £1000's bracket, which could well limit it somewhat............ "Life...........is just a bowl of tricks!!!!!!" Yep the cost would be ridiculous. About 10 years ago a friend of mine and me ran a company developing educational software for use in schools and had a stall at the education show in the SECC. It was a 3 day event, our stall was 3 metres by 1 and it cost us 2500 squids.

It was free camping all weekend (another yay for the organisers!) so folk have been arriving Friday to leave Sunday morning. So, when the raffle tickets went on sale - £2 each maximum £10 and the proceeds going to the organisers - it's a bargain! Now, when he's back, ask teethcv how many raffle tickets he got and how at 5 maximum i did only have 5 but my kids had 5 each and stacey had 5 and they was lucky i didnt get some for my mum and dad and my cat lol i dare not say what i really add i would get shot lol

Shout out to Vereybowring, met up with him at the AAEC Campsite (TM) while VapingBad was doing his coiling tutorial, Verey was regaling us with stories of his escapades doing VTTV chats. He's been invited to have a VB spot on VTTV which would rock, he'd make a great host

I have to say the one liquid that I have seen but its never ever appealed to me is Halcyon Haze - Gins Addiction but after trying it yesterday - YumYumYum - I love the stuff, How weird, Just goes to show you should never judge a book and all that Mentioned on a Mixology thread how absolutely gorgeous it smelt Chris and if it vapes as nicely, what a treat. Other than a bottle of Snake Oil, I bought nothing - not that I needed/wanted a thing, though that hasn't stopped me in the past. Would have bought some Nicotine Base, but I didn't spot anyone selling larger size bottles.
