It was very windy today. I whacked a little white ball around a specially marked out area for a few hours.
Mostly, the wind took it on a personal odyssey - not in the direction of the stick thing that has a flag attached to it.

djs i wanted to do that but i would have needed a canoe, and still no chance today 
It's August i should be out losing balls in the trees, oh well still off work till the 25th so may get time to slice some drives and thin some chips

Have you ever seen the "Curb your enthusiasm" episode (series 4 ep 4) where Larry is convinced the local TV weather man who he knows from the golf club is putting out false bad forecasts so he can get the golf course almost to himself?

I just wait for things to be declared unmissable, then get it delivered on blu ray by a beautiful Estonian lady direct to my front door.
The dog often rips her clothing in the process, but she doesn't seem to mind and I get cheap thrills.

I would have happily given you my mobile number by pm so that you could have arranged to meet me somewhere so that I could have introduced you to people - or you could have sent a pm or posted in this thread if you have internet on your phones. Do please bear that in mind so that it cant happen again at next years. That also goes for any other aaec members who find themselves in the same boat.

Thanks Phoenixflame (Julie) but thought I'd see some AAEC badges but didn't see one. Had mine on all day, I must have gone round the site a dozen times though some of the time was spent queuing, maybe folk think I look a bit dodgy so avoid
