Hello, loving my Riva today but sadly havent given up analogues although about half so am getting there.
My question if I have a sneaky vape at work in the loos there are smoke alarms.... Would vaping set these off?

I can't give a 100% certain answer , but from my experience at home I have a smoke alarm in everyroom and none of them have ever gone off ,and one of my mates was telling me about how he was directly blowing vape into one at his work unable to set it off

Shezzie, great that you are down to half the analogues!
As to the smoke alarms, if they are ionization detectors no.
I have tested the photoelectric type that we have at work in certain locations and I can set those off by either blowing directly towards the detector or generating lots of vapor. If I took small puffs and did not generate a large cloud of vapor I did not set them off.

Remember that even rooms that allow smoking have smoke detectors e.g. hotel rooms that allow smoking etc.

the alarm would or might go off if you blow up towards it just take a tissue and blow to it (I do like that in the plane's bathroom and it has always worked)

I set an alarm off at a hotel I stayed in . There are some alarms that detect the moisture i.e. Premier Inn advise you to close the bathroom door when bathing .

I have heard that they can be set off in the premier inn however my home ones don't react to it in the slightest so i think it just depends on the type of alarm

I just blew about 10 lungfuls into my smoke alarm (domestic battery type) and it did not go off. I've probably vaped in about 10 hotel rooms this year and have NEVER set an alarm off.
