Vaperfest day "BUMMER".

Hi Peeps. Had such a great day at VF, meeting our forum members. Kept dry, did not spend too much.

NOW THE BUMMER!!!

Travelling back home on the M54 between junction 2-3 where there was a speed restriction of 50 mph due to road works.

I in a convoy of cars were clocked at 62 mph. Hence a summons issued by Staffordshire Police, to the sum of

£80.00

So my care at VF spending, down the "crapper". icon_shoppingm

Never the less a wonderful day.

Write back saying you were driving in tune with the rest of the traffic and it would have been unsafe to drive at said speed limit with everyone around you driving faster.

Jeff sorry to hear that but don't you get some discount if you pay within 14 days. Not had a speeding fine for years but years ago I was clock doing 92 on the M1 and I said I was in a convoy and was just following the flow, the copper said you have brakes to slow down.

incurring any points on a clean licence of over 50 years. (some consolation)

GunJack the £80.00 fine will include cover the course costs.

Quick revenue for Staffordshire. (but my fault for speeding on the M54 ). Complete `prat` at that time.

personally, I think they've got a cheek.... the M54 is a bl00dy awful concrete-slab road, they should pay us for driving on it

I had one a couple of years ago and felt quite lucky caught @ 85 on the A1 (60 mph) zone, but I do think your's is unlucky jeffc and after meeting you you didn't come across as a boy racer.

I am relieved today as got through the MOT with nothing needed after last years £840 (tyres & tracking!).

oh thats really bad news Jeff - I know what you mean about flow of traffic though, you end up with someone on your bumper if you try to keep to absolute speed allowed.

I know I got a bit lost coming back from vapefest and finding a road closed so I ended up on the road to Nantwich (full of villages with speed restrictions) I'm still worrying if I got a flash of sunlight or a bloody flash from speed cam?!? I too will rage if its a ticket

My brother did two, you never know.  BTW did some lovely omelets Monday night with half a dozen of you eggs, thanks again SF.
