How long on average are these coils lasting and what ratio of PG & VG juice are you using? Don't think anyones had one long enough to ruin one yet, due to just how long they actually last. Been using one for two weeks now, and its still working flawlessly! I am using 80/20 PG/VG ratio though I believe. Awaiting a delivery of some much higher VG ratio juices (30/70) that should be here within the next few days, so I'll revisit this post whenever they finally decide to give in on me. As far as I can see though, from other peoples comments whilst using high VG liquids, they still work perfectly, and seem to have lasted everyone a while, as most people are still using the first coil then put in. Definitely worth the investment in my honest opinion, best thing I've purchased vape-wise

I'm using 50/50 in my home made juice and find that it gunks cartomizers within 3 days.

So if they do start to get gunked up, its off down the shops for a small bottle of Vodka to clean them with

This would be a lot cheaper than buying vodka.

Hopefully one of the more experienced members will be able to help you with that question

Just did a quick Google search, and found a thread where someone was saying it was BAD to use iso to clean the heads. I'm not 100% sure as to why though, so I dont want to say for definite and then end up leading you mis-informed

Do you just let the coil soak for a certain length of time?

A head lasts me 4 days which isn't too shabby considering that a wick in a rebuildable will last about the same.

Do you just let the coil soak for a certain length of time? People seem to be referring to the fact that its dangerous to ingest Iso, so they keep away from it when using it to clean coils. "As llong as you are rinsing after soaking it's fine. But it is technically a solvent. Soaking for a few minutes will yield about all of its benefit so it might be overkill to soak longer than that. While it is pretty mild as solvents go it is harder on plastics than metals. It can make plastics brittle (as well as o-rings) causing cracking. My opinion is it's relatively safe if rinsed thoroughly and allowed to dry. Any residues left are of insignificant quantity to cause harm That being said I dont do it. I just dont think it's necessary as normally rinsing with filtered water does enough for me"

Definitely isopropyl alcohol is not to be consumed as it is 99% pure and should just evaporate after time. I have used it to clean flux from PCB's and it leaves no residue once evaporated.

From what I can gather, it seems to be ok if you make sure you rinse it all out completely! But for safety, I think people lean towards Vodka
