Montana, it's really amazing how little cotton is actually needed. A definite case of less is more.

x3, raise the coils a bit, and less cotton. The cotton looks quite dry too, so if that's how you vape it, i'd suggest more juice. Also, and really not having a pop here so please take it as constructive critiscism, but those coils look a bit raggedy... one of them has a bit of overlap, which won't be good (potential hot spot). Try a few more builds, but aim for some neater coils like the ones in hijack 's pics. (loads of good coil building vids on youtube, riptrippers has covered just about every build you can imagine!) Torching your coils before you install them can make it easier to keep them neat on the install (makes them less springy) - if you don't have a torch you can hold them over the gas cooker until they glow. All these little tweaks will make a huge difference. That looks like a vw device, what power are you vaping it on...? Stick with it, you'll get it going soon enough. The pics were from a few days before and I hadn't put any more juice on the wicks. The coils are little on the ragged side, but even after torching the coils they don't seem to be much less springy. Also I need to get a larger or smaller torching device as I'm stuck between an ordinary lighter or my plumbers blow torch which is a little bit of overkill , lol I'm now TRYING to use less and less cotton to see if it makes a difference and have raised the coils up too.I'm now using an internal coil diameter of 2.5 , 10 wraps and getting 1.5 ohms.I'm also using more air too which has made a difference but not for long.I'm getting good flavour, but after a while I'm losing flavour again.I've noticed what taste I'm getting now when the flavour is gone and it's pure sweetness , not sugary , just very sweet. Most of the juices I'm trying do have sweet notes to them , but the rest of the flavours just disappear.I've just tried Mt Baker Vapor's "Ecto Cooler" and it was fantastic for the first few pulls then it just went sweet like the others and the orange totally disappeared.I kept puffing away seeing if it would come back and then it was getting to hot to, which is something I really don't like in a vape , I still had enough juice though.
Perhaps dripping just isn't for me ? and perhaps I just need to get myself some more PT2's or MPT2's but they are pricy and take a while to set up again.
I've also noticed that quite a few vendors and I think maybe the manufacturers are going away from single coils and going to double coils. This is a problem for me ( maybe others too ).I can get a really good vape , flavour , throat hit and vapour production with my PT2's and MPT2's. I haven't seen or found a good video or tutorial on recoiling dual coils for the likes of the Protank 3 range , I think It's because of either A) getting the spacing between the coils , or B) using a single coil and packing out the top of the coil with wicking material.
The device the dripper was on is a MVP V2 and I normally vape at between 6 and 9 watts.

I vape my tanks at 9-12w and they work well, but dripping didn't really take off for me until I got a low ohm build on a mech (~0.4 ohms / 44w)... not advising it, just worth mentioning. Coil building just takes practice, but you might find 0.3mm easier to build with (and then 0.45 - 0.5, but those are for lower ohm builds) The sweetness sounds like a vg taste, I often get a kind of honey sweetness with my high vg liquids... are you using high vg, and how steeped are they? I've got a pt2 with afc sitting unused here (and a few spare 1.8 heads), pm me if interested!

I only have VV/VW mods and are restricted to what ohm load I can go down to.Even with a 1.1 ohm load on my MVP ( 2 coils ) they are struggling to heat up properly, so I have to aim at higher ohm loads which means higher amount of wraps and more possibility of looking scuffy, as you can see , lol.
Yes I do use higher VG liquids in my tanks because I have a slight PG intolerance , that being getting a really sore throat even when I'm vaping normally and not at home when I vape more.
Even when I turn the watts up to max on my VTR I can still get a good taste and not just the sweetness, although the sweetness is greater, even though I don't like vaping that high.

I still need to get a dripper and see what all the fuss is as I think it is one of the only things I haven't tried yet

When you get it right , which has only been a few puffs here and there the flavour is fantastic, but I equate dripping to balancing several plates at once you have to get ALL the components exactly right , so the jury is still out , for me.

What you say could be the biggest factor in performance. If you have been using 11w with a duel coil, then that's 5.5w per coil, that is pretty low. I don't know if its the same on the Zeneth, but on a lot of duel coil drippers they give a single airhole option by having one of the opposite holes missing. If it does, try making a single coil so all the power goes to a single coil. If it doesn't have the single airhole that you can use, you could try blocking one of them even using your thumb to do it.

One point Montana, I could only single coil my fogger until I got a mech mod. The electronic ones don't seem up to dual coil builds on RBA/RDAs. It's not a case of the ohms. Like hitting a 6inch nail with a toffee hammer!! Can't speak for the DNA mods though, I'll find out soon enough.

The only reason that I started with dual coils is because I've read that the Zenith and the clones ( which is what I have ) work a lot better with dual coils and it does have dual adjustable air holes.

Montana Duel coils do work better, but you need enough power to heat both the coils, 5.5w through each coil wont cut it. Try a sigle coil of around 1.5 Ohm I just looked and the zenith v2 does have the option to use a single airhole, as it has 3 slots in the chamber and 2 slots on the ring. You may find it works better like this until you eventually get something that will provide a bit more power.
