Sometimes that oily taste is really hard to shift just with soaking/scrubbing. I guess you could try the brandy, sounds like a waste though... I usually just live with it as it will normally pass after a few tankfulls

leo could you point me in the direction of a decent one? not the x version Unfortunately, my Phantom Brass Stingray, which is a thing of beauty and utterly dependable, came from FyneMods, and it looks like Matt is oos... so no, sorry! I will have a dig around and see if I can find a good one, but Matt sells good kit, I'm always happy to buy from him. If i were you I'd get the copper one that is in stock on his site. Might not be the colour you want, but if the quality is the same as the brass one I have it will give you many years of good service.

The Stingray and Stingray X switches are slightly different. Both my Stingrays are clones and both of them have excellent switches, which are preferable to a Nemesis switch, and a million times better than a Paps clone (I'm sure the original has a great button, but the Clone I have has a terrible button). The Stingrays come with magnets fitted which is a bonus

After mixing, give 'em a good shake, and put them in a dark cupboard or drawer. Give a good shake daily for the first week or so, then forget for another week or two. It's not an exact science, but the above works for me.

Haha... the list would be endless. Have a think about a 4 hole design like the Plume Veil, slightly easier to build than a 3 hole like the Tobh. Also, you will find an rda easier to build than an rba as you have a lot more space to work in. I love my Orchid v3, but the deck is pretty titchy, so the build is on the fiddly side compared to an rda I'm assuming you have an Aspire tank for those nautilus heads.. otherwise they look out of place on your shopping list!!!! Yeah iv a nautilus mini i mainly use . thanks might leave the tiny deck one . want it to best as easy as possible starting off lol Mate, I don't want to put you off.. the orchid is a great atty. And some people prefer a tank to a dripper. So it's worth picking one up. But you mentioned starting off with the Orchid before moving on to the RDA, so I was just pointing out that it might be easier the other way around

Really? Based on what? I've just taken a 4nine and Origen half way around Europe without a back up. Off again in two weeks with the same. based on the poll so far. I don't know... it's a poll for the whole forum, and a lot of the forum don't use mechs. As for temp control, anyone who want's to vape nickel wire can go right ahead, personally i won't be touching it. I'm a mech user, and I also use vv/vw devices, but I wouldn't ditch my mechs. Both have their advantages. And the advantages of mechs haven't disappeared with vv/vw and won't disappear once temp control arrives.

I wondered about a starter RBA/RDA as well as if its what we are going to have to do in the future I would like to learn but am talking something really basic and foolproof LOL Rebuildables are at the advanced end of the vaping spectrum, so 'basic' and 'foolproof' don't really apply Having said that, it's not hard as long as you take time to learn how to build your coils (plenty of youtube vids to help), and make sure you understand ohms law and battery safety. Your time and effort in teaching yourself this stuff will be well rewarded

RDA and ohm meter from fasttech (Plume Veil is easy to build and gives an amazing vape) Wire from Vape Mesh Co (start with some 0.3mm and maybe some 0.45mm if you like low ohms) Organic Cotton Wool from any chemist Precision screwdriver set from Maplins or similar, and you should be sorted
If you are using a mech, or planning on sub-ohming, make sure you do your homework re ohms law and battery safety.
Good luck. RDA's are well worth the effort imo

Mechs & rda's 99% of the time. (Stingray X/454 in hybrid mode current fave setup) Hana clone get's the occasional look in! Rarely use a tank nowadays.

From what I can tell, Yosemite is little more than a lick of paint (and a great way to get A*ple in the tech headlines right about the time their new phones and tablets hit the shelves in time for blllleeeeep)

Yup, myepack are generally on the ball. It's rare that they mess up, but when they do they tend to put it right pretty quickly. I ordered a pair of vtc4's last week, and they turned up the next day. Good service from those guys.
