Having problems with afc

I use a Protank 2 with a v2 AFC Lynne77 The v1 AFC gave me flooding and gurgling problems so I bought a couple of v2s.

The first one on the left is the v1 and the one on the right is the v2, what version do you have?



It sounds more like a coil problem than a AFC problem, the only real problem I have with the AFC is gurgling or slight flooding which makes me think it could be the coil. If you are using stock coils in the Protank it could be you have a dodgy coil or two. I make my own coils using the microcoil and cotton wool method, much better than the stock coils.

I have the one on the left, v1

As soon as I took it off it worked fine again with the same coil.

I'm not ready to have a go at doing my own coils just yet

Maybe look at getting a v2, you can get them HERE, much better design than the v1 and much less faff

I've just realised that the only airflow controller I've used is the v1 and I have 3 of them and disliked them intensely, always wondered why you all banged on about them being so fabulous could well be because i've never tried a v2!

Yep,I have v2 on my minis and was wondering,because I never had problem with them and absolutely love them.
