Having problems with afc

After reading on here how good they are I bought an afc for my Protank 2.

Worked great for a couple of days then started spitting and I was getting mouthfuls of juice, Yuk!

Not nice at all so I've taken it off.

Is it me? Am I doing something wrong?

I have no clue,I am sure someone will answer soon.Why you think is from afc?Could be just a bad coil...Anyway until experts answer maybe check this

Because when I removed it worked fine, so it must be something with afc

I know that if you set the airflow lower then it "sucks" more juice onto the coil. If you are getting dry hits you should lower the airflow, and if you are getting gurgles or too much juice you should increase it. As with all "rules" in the vaping world however sometimes it works differently than it should

Most afcs can allow juice to collect in them which can be a pita.

I don't have the specific afc that you have, so I can't be any more specific.

Mine does the same especially if I let the juice run down too much. Easily solved by either topping up the tank or taking the base off, blowing through the chimney bit on the coil (if you have the older style coils) then reassembling. I normally use a bit of paper towel to dab the wicks too before I put it back together. This probably does nothin at all but in my mind it can help to create the vacuum. if I'm out and about when it happens I normally just tilt the atty so it's horizontal, take a couple of vapes with the air control fully open (yup it doesn't taste too good) and it normally fixes it 9 times out of 10.

Kanger normally recommends keeping it at least a third full on their website

This is precisely what irritates me about kanger tanks. If a tank's capacity is say 2ml, I want to be able to vape 2ml without faffing about. In my experience protanks/aerotanks leak far more easily than their counterparts.

Yup can't deny it they gurgle like there's no tomorrow sometimes but I've never had one leak yet, fingers crossed. I'm still a fan though as they're easy to strip down and recoil and wick with cotton. I've tried to like the aspires but just can't get away with them but my sons a massive fan. It might be down to the aerotank was the first one I had so I tend to stick with kanger stuff as I'm used to them. Oh and it still narks me when I'm topping it up to the largest level it can take then you turn it over and there's loads of space left at the top... Hang on why do I like them for? Hahaha

At the risk of getting repetitive ... Try a gladius If you are recoiling/wicking they are streets ahead of the kanger. They do have the same. "not so full as I thought" thing when you turn them over, but not to the same degree. They are a dual coil, but I have one going with a single coil atm and not a gurgle in sight (or sound ... or something )

I was looking at the gladius but it just looked like an aerotank rip off but a bit uglier (but that's subjective as the aero is hardly a pretty beast) . I'm used to the foibles of kanger stuff so if I had an atty what worked all the time I'd get worried that I was doing something wrong and I've got loads of coils ready to go for the kanger stuff and I really like my pt2. My kid swears by his nautilus though. Going to try the mega next as I'm a glutton for punishment

Yeah it's that close of a copy I'm surprised the heads aren't interchangeable.... Hang on they're not are they?

The threads are the same but ... not  The connecting post bit thingamygig is shorter on the gladius. With a lot of faffing you could get a gladius head to work in a kanger but a lot more faffing to get a kanger head to work in the gladius (involving a saw I presume, but haven't/not going to try it )

Basically not worth the effort in either case
