This site looks fantastic a wealth of knowledge, I hope somebody can assist me!!

Been using Green Smoke e-cig for a while but getting bored and want to move onto vaping, not bothered about the plastic cigarette look any longer.

There seems to be a mass market of implements out there for vaping and I haven't got a clue which to go for hence the reason I joined this site.

Could anybody offer me names of a couple of the best machines out there (sorry dont know what the official name is for the vaping cigarettes) and which is the best juice brand?

I am going into town tomorrow so hopefully will purchase.

Hi djonly  to the forum

I can offer a few types that you can look into

for something smaller and slim you have the Vision Spinner slim design that suits the mini tanks and has adjustable power so you can turn it up for more vapour.(2 needed so you have one to use while the other is charging)
Next would be itaste vv v3 that has a few more options for power adjustment and has a usb charging lead so you can use while its charging.
Next would be MVP 2 Same options as the vv v3 but the battery will last for days without needing a recharge.

All the above have an internal battery, so you don't need to worry about getting separate batteries for them
Youll need a tank (clearomizer) as well, something like Aerotank Mow would suit the thinner design. Or aerotank v2 would suit the MVP

And of coarse you will need some flavoured e-liquid to use in the clearo

I second the itaste vw v3 or the mvp which is excellent if you are happy with the size.

I'm not a big fan of the kanger tanks (aerotanks mostly) although they are popular. I would suggest the iClear16s or the new innokin gladius.

If you want a "simple" battery the aspire CF range are the best on the market atm. It's worth getting a vv one, so you can change the power of your vape according to mood.

If you want simple and smart looking the evod starter kit is a great starting point, although you will probably end up upgrading once you get used to how it all works.

It's all matter of personal preferences.Me and hubby share MVP,spinner and vamo.But I must say I still very often vape on my simple evod batteries.Also in love with kanger mini protanks 2 and 3.hijack give really good advice already so take a look,maybe watch some reviews on suggested to see how it works.
I think Roscopecotrain have reviews on pretty much all of them.Good luck.

100% agreed. A lot of 'Vape Shops' turn out to be just one guy wanting to rake it in with overpriced juices and eog/ce4 combos.

That's NOT what you want. Better to wait a couple of days than blow your cash on something that will never work for you.

All e-cigs are "vaping" regardless of type. The plastic sticks that look like a cigarette are mostly very ineffective and in some cases cost a lot of money as well.

For example, I vape a certain amount of liquid per day to get my nicotine.

On a refillable e-cig, this costs me never more than £1 per day (in the cost of the liquid). £365 per year or less.
Using a product like E-Lites, would cost me £2,900 a year. (and I would get nicotine cravings too)
Using Greensmoke would cost me far less than E-Lites, but still more than refillable.


Most of us call any type of e-cig, an e-cig. In some communities (forums etc.) words like "Personal Vapouriser" or "Advanced Personal Vapouriser" (APV) are commonly used. A "big" e-cig is mostly called a MOD. The medium sized ones are mostly known as eGo batteries or a eGo e-cig.

So small (and trying to look like a cig) = cig-a-like
Medium = eGo e-cig
Anything large or custom built = a mod *you can get small mods and huge mods, and box-shaped mods as well*

The most obvious type to look into is an eGo kit. If it is the Kanger (that's a make) type then it's often called an EVOD kit.

As members have said, many of the best priced and effective e cigarette gear is online. There are some great high street shops but they are few and far between and in most cases they are simple market stalls selling chinese imports at inflated prices, but that's not to say that china made goods are inferior as sigelei and innokin brands are chinese and they have excellent tanks and batteries.

If you add your location in on your profile we may be able to guide you towards a decent high street shop? (we tend to call them B&M = bricks and mortar shop) The independants are generally tucked away so you need help to find them!

Haven't used ego type devices regularly for a while but the ego-v v3 looks good, it's variable voltage/wattage so you can adjust the taste or amount of vapour you get. 1300mah battery so will last a good portion of the day, and it is a passthrough so will allow you to plug into a usb port and vape while it charges.

djonly. Good advice from respected members above. Juice is like your device, its personal choice. Check out the vendors list and thread. Some do taster packs which will enable you to cover a range of flavours for a few pounds and most offer a discount via a code entered at checkout. I use chefs vapour and flavour art but there are many quality juices on the market. Benefit of vendors on this forum is, you can fire off a PM with any questions you might have and they will get back to you almost immediately. I've found the chefs chaps, Lew and Karl, to provide excellent advice and service. Congratulations on joining the friendliest vaping forum on the interweb.
