By the way, with the guide it was quite straightforward. It was a bit fiddly to get the nut in place for the positive post but if the negative post had not been faulty it would have been a breeze to do really.

I wish they were 'tough' but JeffC kindly fitted mine and one post snapped on him! so I don't think you can go at them too roughly? He's kindly sent me his base for now but he's having to send that one to the menders. Its not as if I can ask GP to send a new single post :'(its not listed on the spares Sorry to hear that, PeppertyWith the second post I didn't have to try very hard. It just screwed right in quite easily. There was no way I was going to get the first one to screw down. The slot was beginning to get misshapen and it just wasn't going to go down any further. Send an email to Perseus & he'll most likely send you out a replacement.

Sorry i did not do any tutorial on the fitting of the replacement kit, but i did go by the link you provided but i found i did have to do the back and forth with the post for it to wear in, also don't be afraid to use some force, the posts are very tough. I wish they were 'tough' but JeffC kindly fitted mine and one post snapped on him! so I don't think you can go at them too roughly? He's kindly sent me his base for now but he's having to send that one to the menders. Its not as if I can ask GP to send a new single post :'(its not listed on the spares Yep it's best not to go rough on them but they can handle some force, i had two sets of the replacement kits and both the same posts that kailey mentioned gave me problems, they got really hard to screw in halfway down so instead of trying to force the post down i done the following: Screwed it down as far as i can with a little force, once i felt it could not go any further without the risk of breaking the post i un-screwed the post a bit until it was loose again and then tried again, each time i done this the post went in further each time i done the above, it kinda loosens the thread a bit at a time. Very important though to use a perfect snug fit screwdriver, you can also put some Vaseline on the thread to help things along. Maybe they make them like that to give a really tight secure fit as to stop any juice travelling through the thread...if that was their thought process i think they went a bit OTT
