Focal Kraken, any thoughts?

Hi All, 

Anybody tried the Kraken clone on Focalecig, here: Kraken link ?

Interested about your thoughts. 

It would be my 1st Kraken. I'd like one because I enjoy its peculiar restitution of tastes. But then again I only tried original models, not clones, and I can't afford an original. 

So, I'll take any and all advice. Many thanks!

I have 4 of these from FT <£7 at the moment, as with most clones you need to use better washers, I also replace the screws and tighten the tank o'rings by putting a bit of PTFE tape under them.

Mine is from FT as well, I've also replaced the screws with SS torx heads, not had a problem with O ring seals so far. Oh and bought a spare Pyrex tank while I was at it, cheap as chips.

The o'ring were OK, I just like them really tight so you can't pull the tank off with the top-cap.

- Replacing the screws : OK but with what? Where do you find these screws, please? How do I tell a good screw from a bad one, is it the metal in which they come?

The washers on for the positive connection are magnetic, replace with M2.5 Stainless Steel ones cheap off eBay.

You can source the screws on e bay You need Stainless Steel (which won't corrode) I believe the thread size is M2.5 (Metric 2.5mm), though I haven't actually measured it. I haven't swapped out the washers on mine but stainless steel would be a preferred choice as well, the washers are the small metal discs that actually trap the wire under the screw on the positive post.

Aha! I get it now, thanks for your explanations. I will indeed get good screws and - learned a new word here - washers. Ebay it is. Thank you both!
