If you are nervous about recoiling it might be worth you taking a look at naturevape coils? Although they seem expensive at first glance many people rave over them, all you would need to do then is thread new organic cotton through wick, about every week and the coil will last about 5-6 months. It may be a good plan, have a look and read up ampsy It may be cost effective way to get a great vape and flavour taste!

a mini nemesis is usually a 18350 battery and a nemi is a 14500 so i'm not sure which he was recommending but tbh and my imo - unless you recoil your own tanks a mechanical mod <<which they are>> is a bit of a waste of time! I could be wrong but fairly sure thats the case....you will get a better, more satisfying vape from a variable voltage wattage (vv/vw) with shop bought coils I don't recoil , but love a 1.5 ohm on my mechs , for some reason it's a cleaner tasting vape than my vamo or vtr ! No faffiing ! No fiddling with vv or vw to get it right ! But we all have different tastes ... Or I'm just wierd

I'm now using my mini protanks on my 14500 chi sleek (ok I have recoiled them) but they are a wonderful vape! Sometimes I get puzzled when members buy top of the range/the next best/newest on market gear when I'm still enjoying my 'retro' protank 1's ....what works for you personally is fine! jaysey I just wondered if ampsy was quite clear about what mechanical mods are about. Its not always a forward step, so wanted to clarify as many bits of info I could think of to help

ampsy If you are still at the basic ego/evod kit stage then I would probably recommend an itaste vv? If I wasn't such a vaping geek I would happily still be using them! The two back - far right - are itaste vv's an 800mah battery that you can vape and charge through and yes the batteries will finally die after about a year but at £20 per battery (or £15 from China) I'd say that was good value for a variable voltage/wattage battery. I started with iclear16 tanks (China £2) coils lasted up to 3 months, 6 weeks at the minimum, but as they are dual coil they drink lots of juice (eliquid) but very flavoursome. Then I moved onto mini protanks, as I like glass.. I could taste the plastic weirdly enough? the minus to the protanks is coils dont last as long, but then I learnt to remake them very cheap and a nice vape taste Ha can't believe that you have just recommended what I have, I too started with the iclear 16 tanks too, and I have a couple of the protank 2 as well, so it's looking like I really don't need the nemesis doesn't it??????? like they say if your happy with what you have why change! it's just that the fella in the shop had the larger nemesis and it looked brilliant, loads n loads of thick vapour and he said he had 100% flavour too, but it was much too big n heavy for the likes of me Tee-hee , thanks for saving me £££££'s from my small pension x

I just felt that maybe a small mech. mod wasn't necessarily what you need? ..what you want may be a different story! I only changed my gear because I fancied trying stuff out -- i've tried all sorts out and now know what I dont like and what I do like, but it can be expensive testing the market icon_shoppingm I was very lucky when I quit - in that I had tons of duty free tobacco which I sold and funded my vaping, but I do have to say that my taste buds must be ruined as I dont pick up nuances that some members see and feel and taste? As long as your gear makes you happy and content and you enjoy your vaping there probably isn't much need to try everything on the market right now...

Each to their own I say! Its just sometimes we dont realise what works best? a few months back I went through a stage of buying the latest protank/aspire tanks on market and matching coils, packs of them! to find out that the most reliable for me was the single coil starter stuff... I can rebuild coils myself now and I honestly couldn't tell if there was a taste improvement, but the new stuff seemed to gurgle and flood and dry hits and I was so fed up, and I got to a stage where i was frightened to inhale in case I got a mouthful of e-liquid or a nasty fusty dry hit I just want a nice reliable cigarette substitute. But my single coil protanks? no problem with them, and they vaped nice, tasted good, no flooding, no dry hits, no scary taste -----so I am sticking with them!

without being rude, condecending or belittling, if you don't understand mech mods don't consider using one. If you want to move up use a regulated device ie. an mvp2 would be great beacause you don't have to buy batteries and chargers, an svd, vtr vamo and various others will work really well but involve the expense of batteries and charger. an aerotank, nautilus etc will be great atty's to puton it, I see from @pep gear that she has itaste vv's these are great starter vv/vw mods, myepack offer all of the above at decent prices. As I said not trying to put you down at all! ampsy

prr I started with itaste vv's hence me recommending them. Now I really love my provari mini, and my Billet Box (both are regulated mods) I love regulated mods, I'm a lazy vaper but I do also own mechanical mods... quite a few Basically I now have a mod for every occasion But I didn't make the step until I felt I understood batteries, amps and ohms and once I was confident I went and tried the whole damn lot out!! still like my regulated mods, mind

ampsy my pleasure, glad you took my post in the spirit that it was intended. Wouldn't have taken it any other way, I know that yourself and all that answered my thread was only trying to help me, I am completely ignorant and in the dark at this vaping lark, so all advise given to me is very much appreciated, I thank you all

Must admit I'm grateful that the forum as a whole advocates safety, I put me right off mech mods until I properly did my homework! reckon its taken me about 3 months to even understand mAh's and ohms law still leaves me clueless
