I just followed the Video but when i took the Cotton Wool out wire came out with it and no light comes on when you turn it on like it shows in the Video is that because the wire came out with the cotton wool does anyone know please? What do i do to avoid the wire please as it was attached to the cotton wool?

Sounds like you have pulled the coil out, but I am a newbie myself, only 5 months Didnt have a choice it was caught up with the cotton wool, no way to prevent it, glad you agree with my thinking though

In non technical terms = Remove that plastic thing round the post.
Pull out the long post , you may need pliers.
you are sat now looking at a small metal cup shape. You can see a metal coil with some silica through the centre.
Take a pair of tweezers. Very gently pull the silica from one side, until it all comes out, very gently. Bit by bit.
You should then be looking at a metal cup shape with a piece of coiled metal in the middle.
The aim now is to take some cotton, or silica and thread it through that metal coil.
The knack to doing this is to take a decent length of material used try to judge the thickness, twist and wet one end and try to thread it through, if it gets stuck, remove and thin out a little, once it goes through not too easily but not pulling, chop the ends off so that they sit flush with the outer edges of the middle tube. Fluff the sticking out ends up a bit with a needle or anything really. Pop the post back on and push down to secure, then put the plastic bit back on so it looks like the pic above again.

ripple27 any cotton wool will do as long as it is white, not dyed and clean. Cotton wool is very absorbant so picks up smells, etc easily.

I will also add ripple27 that I change genuine heads every 2 days, as any longer and they just don't do it for me, hence why I got into rewicking. The genuine heads are a smaller coil, smaller hole to thread the cotton/ silica through so are more tricky to do which is why people use microcoils. I am sure someone on here would gladly send you a few microcoils to wick, ( Mine are used and I can not make them myself otherwise I would gladly help). That however would mean you replacing the whole caboodle.

This is brilliant thanks so much, the only problem i foresee is my eyesight is not brill these days so not sure if il be able to see the coil even if it isn't attached to the cotton wool. one thing i have noticed is there is hardly any cottonwool to grab hold off with the tweezers and think that could be why im having problems but the stuff i have got out is jet black so this is the cause of my original problems so thanks for your support with this issue. im now going to get my son on the case his eyes are better than mine

Perhaps that may help?

Have tried that to no avail and my son has tried threading it and the hole is just too small its near impossible so im going to order one of the Nature Vape Coil as i think its bigger so should be easier to re coil in the future do you agree with that idea please Sammy?

I have never used those but they have brilliant reviews, just thinking if I have anything but mine are smaller 1.8mm.
I would say yes for now order one from the reviews, I believe it will be good to go and will include a ball of cotton for future rewicking.
The coil itself doesn't last forever though, but we will set you up with something
