Forgive me if I'm wrong but:

These 'pineapples' really are too heavy to wash up on the beach if they're the real 'live' grenades.

So either they've been in the sand all this time and the sand has just washed away, or they're practice grenades.

My advice though is always be safe and stay at least 50 metres from them.
