Hey up Ive been vaping for a while with a bog standard aspire tank set up (not very technically minded but tis a standard kit thing). I decided to have a go at mixing my own liquids and keep seeing how what you use to vape can affect your experience. So I got thinking maybe its time I bought something a little better. Im looking for something that can go on my cylinder style batteries as at the min I cant afford to buy new ones but will in the future. Also i needs to be able to keep it comfortably in me pocket (so i can sneak off to the loo at work for a quick vape). I was thinking of the nautilus mini with the BVC. Any suggestions because Im totally flumoxed with all the vaping gear out there and dont want to order summut i cant use.
Thanks x

Hello troglet If its just a tank setup you want, I LOVED (and still love) my original nautilus with the new BVC heads in it. You get all the advantages of the mini nautilus, but with the advantage of having a 5ml capacity. As far as tanks go, theres not much that even comes close to the vape you get off that setup. If you're looking for something a bit more 'advanced' (for want of a better word), then I just purchased this, and I couldnt be happier with it: www.fasttech.com/products/1411/10008103/1785902You can look on the drop-down menu and see which colour you prefer, but I'd say keep away from the one at the bottom, as it isnt a 1:1 clone, so it isnt going to be as good as the original. I bought that, got a pack of these pre-made coils, and I cant see me ever using anything again, although I'm keeping my nautilus incase I ever need to take it out on a night out, because I'll be too busy to drip in a night club: www.fasttech.com/products/1411/10007182/1591708As for those coils, I first purchased the 50-pack of 1.8 ohm coils (tightly coiled), and theyre brilliant for a starter if you dont want to make your own coils (and theyre cheap as chips! Something like 2.58p each coil in the 50-pack). I just purchased a 50-pack of 1.5ohm coils to see if theres going to be much of a difference, but maybe someone else can provide more insight into whether or not there will be, as mine wont arrive for another few weeks. Little word of advice, if you're buying off fasttech, make sure you choose China Post upon checkout. My stuff normally arrives in under two weeks when I use China Post. If you need any help in finding the china post option, just give me a PM, as it normally escapes people, due to the fact that you need to click on a drop-down menu to access it. Whichever way you go about, I hope you can find what you're looking for, my friend. Good luck!

Do you have eGo batteries? the normal e-cig ones - round and medium slim? I wouldn't put a mini Nautilus on an eGo... it won't look right and chances are the battery won't be powerful enough to get the best vapour.. ???

troglet, it would be a great help if you could find out and tell us what exact device you are vaping on? Or maybe put a picture up if you cant find out? That way it will be easier for us to give you a good recommendation

I'm using the bvc head in a full sized nautilus atm. I usually vape around 7watts but have to go up to 9 with the bvcs to get a decent vape. A fully charged "normal" battery would be just fine, but I'm guessing you would want to recharge them before you would with some other attys. It's probably the most "hassle free" atty I own though.

Same setup I used to use. I could vape all the way up to 11watts on my MVP with the BVC heads in the original nautilus. Really is a brilliant piece of kit

I wouldn't worry too much troglet if the gear you have already works for you My best mate is happy with throwaway ce4's and basic ego battery, but if you really fancy something new there's a fair few nice tanks with shop bought replacement coils, you can try out. And all are priced under £20 I'd recommend a variable voltage/wattage battery as it helps with vape quality, in finding optimum flavour but a good taste doesnt always mean spending out. I recoil my old protanks 1 single coils and they vape fabulous!

My advice to almost anyone would be to invest in an MVP V2. You can get an MVP V2 kit for quite cheap on fasttech, only £27 now, and that includes an iclear 30, which is miles better than disposables. www.fasttech.com/products/1390901You could stick with this and be quite content, but if you still want better, theres not many things out there better than either a Nautilus Mini, or the original nautilus with BVC coils in it. If you end up getting a nautilus, I have quite a few coils laying around here (just the standard BDC coils) that I'd be more than happy to send you, free of charge of course

No problem at all my friend. As Pep said though, if you're happy with what you have, and its keeping you off the stinkies, then theres no rush to look for anything new and 'better'. Whatever works for you is the best IMO

I would also recommend keeping an eye on forum classifieds thread, theres often deals for 2nd hand starter/intermediate gear that is very fair priced and gives you the chance to try stuff out, if it doesnt suit you can probably get back similar what you paid? and least you would learn what gear is to your taste If you are unsure of suitability, just ask in that items sales thread. The seller will be able to advise you on if its your level entry gear Vaping isn't like normal shopping, there aren't many decent high street stores where you can go handle vape stuff, often you buy online and hope for the best! But if you pick stuff up 2nd hand you should be able to work out what you like without blowing your budget sky high!

An Evod or a Protank mini with 1.8 or 2 ohm coils would be a good next step if you did not want to get into variable voltage.
