I'm trying to send a bottle of juice to a member on here.....sorry it's taking so long......it wouldn't fit in out local post box so as son was going out today I asked him to drop it into a post office. they must have asked what was in it, and being an honest sort of chap he told them. The PO person asked what the nicotine level was, he was honest again and told them.....6mg......apparently anything over 5mg isn't allowed as it's toxic! So how come all my internet ordered juices arrived by Royal Mail? I will check this tale further, but it sounds a bit daft to me?

The correct response is A food colouring B essential oils C perfume Silly rules I know ! Teach him the correct replies For batteries / mods A plumbing parts B metal components C sex toys ( that usually stops them in their tracks Or try saying ' nothing on the prohibited list ' ( but they usually persist !

As above. In order to stop the nosey old bint in the PO saying no you must lie like a cheap watch. (I have had PO issues this week as you may be able to tell)

Another pompous shyster interpreting the rules to suit themselves when they don't fully understand them!
Don't however, tell them it's perfume - its on the restricted list! (Not prohibited, but restricted).
The only answer they need, for everyone/everything to conform is "Nothing that is on the prohibited or restricted lists". This is, by royal mails own rules, enough to stop the questioning/hassle.The counter staff have no further recluse, and are breaking rules if they continue.

Thanks peeps, lovely answers. How, then, do online juice vendors manage to post their stuff?
I've never had any problems at my local PO, they just take the parcel and smile.
But it's good to know there are ways to lie, cheat and generally get our own back, just a little

The first time my PO asked me I told them it was sex lube, now whenever I go in they tend to look at me rather sheepishly

at my local PO : what is in ti ? me: e-liquid . PO : is it inflammable ? me : no - and I got it with the post, as there are loads of online vendors PO : ok then quite obviously he was no vaper - duh - no vaper would be uninjured if it was inflammable but earlier this year I had 3 small bottles of nail varnish confiscated, as supposedly dangerous goods - argh - wanted to send them to my niece in Sweden - but one can't send nail polish abroad at all - though I think you can send a small bottle within the UK - makes soo much sense - NOT
