the ring can be replaced but the manufacturers wont release the spares so there is nothing that I can do with them I am afraid

Failing all else if you can't get them replaced you can always get an airflow controller and use a drop of jb weld (stupidly strong liquid metal) onto the threads of the airflow controller and wait till it sets and it will get it up and running again. Not the prettiest solution but saves having it sit in the cupboard for the next six months  |
