I have had a jaw dropping moment this morning when it suddenly reallllly hit home that I am an exsmoker  I keep a spreadsheet on which I work out how much I would have spent on fags per week vs how much I have actually spent on vaping instead. I have been working on what 20 fags a day had been costing me when I made the switch in May this year which was £7.84 this morning my hubby commented on fags being over £8 a pack I said they hadn't gone over £8 yet and he disagreed, so off I trotted to Tesco.com and found to my complete surprise that 20 fags would now cost me £8.08 a pack!! Quite apart from my spreadsheet now needing to be adjusted I cannot believe that for the first time in over 35 years I have totally lost touch with how much fags cost!!! So much so I have absolutely no idea when they went up. I know the increase is the budget rise however I gave up post budget in May this year and they were still £7.84 at that time so when did they go up to the £8.08 price? Looks like I've been saving more than I knew  |

Having also not smoked in a long long time I have lost count of prices but over £8 is bloody ridiculous. On the plus side, it now gives me an excuse to my OH that going through a 15ml bottle of spacejam a day is basically the same as the 20 fags I would be smoking  |
