Sorry I missed this post Jess, been preparing and will be recovering from the Somerset meet.
I called last week, the manageress was off so I need to call tomorrow.
I think we may lose our sponsor as the 25th coincides with their juice tasting night.

I'll post here as soon as I get it confirmed. The Prince of Wales Feathers is directly across the road from Warren Street tube, a direct Northern Line tube from Waterloo. Although it is a bit further on the tube, you don't have the 5 minute walk to the pub. It's a nice little pub with good food, a nice 1st floor private room. There is no bar upstairs though and the loos are on the 2nd floor.

Potential problems with the Prince of Wales Feathers. The manager will not be back until Thursday/Friday, but the assistant manager doesn't think he will allow ecigs. This may not be the case though because nobody seems sure whether it is a manager or manageress, so I shall wait and see.
In the meantime I will sort out an alternative free venue.

I think we can cancel the above post.
I've just recieved an email from the manager and he says we can have the room in the 25th. I've asked him to confirm that we can vape, and if so to book us in.
Their was a meet last year when a venue changed its mind and Alan and the rest ended up stomping around Soho at 9pm looking for somewhere else.
As soon as I here back from him I'll get a proper announcement/list thread up on all the forums and facebook.

I will take the 25th off work so if there is a meet up I can be there at the start instead of rocking up at 6.30 ish if no meet I shall spend the day in bed

I still don't have email confirmation of the Prince of Wales Feathers and I can't speak to the boss until he is back at work. However I've been busy sorting out some alternatives. We have 2 pubs that are about the same walk as the Coach&horses was from stations. They both have nice looking rooms, but I won't be happy booking them until ive been down and checked them out- excuses, excuses....
The Old Crown is on New Oxford Street halfway between Tottenham Court Road and Holborn stations. They have offered us a second floor function room that has its own bar and toilets. I've been in the ground floor bar a few times, it's quite lively and well run.
The Iron Duke is just off Brook Street in Mayfair halfway between Oxford Circus and Bond Street stations. They have offered us "The Boot Room" on the 1st floor. We'd have to use the ground floor bar but the toilets are on the same floor. I've never been in there(shock horror, I'll soon change that) but on the internet it looks lovely. Only worry is its location- highest rents in the country normally means highest price drinks.

We are booked into The Prince of Wales Feathers from 5pm on Saturday 25th October. The pub chain has a no vaping policy, but we can vape in the 1st floor "Orangary" as it is a private party. This was the same as last November.
I will put a proper thread up once I've sobered up from my birth-two-days.
