Focalecig Rose V2 clone

Has anyone else received one of these yet?
I got my one recently, cleaned it and went to build it tonight but for the life of me I cant get the ceramic cup to fit, its only a fraction too big but try as I may I cant get it to go in the head.

Is it only me or is anyone else having the same trouble?

IIRC someone said you can lightly sand the ceramic if they are tight when new on one of the GB threads or the Rose thread.

It might come to that, I'm loathe to do it on a new atty though, if I break the ceramic I'm stuffed, yes I know you can use them without but I'd rather it was fitted

You know I hadn't thought of that (I wish I had a brain) I'll give one a try later, at least it will let me know if its the cup that's oversized or the base that's undersized

I have the opposite problem. I cant get the cup out Its in there till it breaks, so it might be there a while(hopefully).

But back to your problem, I did read that someone had one where the metal between the 2 slots was bent inward slightly, which was stopping them from getting the cup to fit. They bent it out a bit and the cup then fitted ok.

I must admit I've thought of that, and burrs on the deck, but its hard to tell (not the burrs, they're ok), again I dont want to fiddle too much with a new atty until I know a little more, I was hoping someone else had received one from Focalecig and could let me know how their build went.

Just had an in depth look at it (and tried different cups) and it seems as if the deck itself is malformed (or damaged), the chimney will go on 2 or 3 threads before it bites.

mine arrived a few days ago and has been fine, never crossed my mind to test the spare cup.

Neither of my cups (nor the ones from Arrons GB) will fit, I'm sure its the base section itself that is faulty
