Phew t'wasnt a dream then they seem to get a lot of love. The foggers and the taifun gts look nice too. There's a kaiser in the pass it on section in the classies Mrsmac which looks suspiciously like it's been modelled on the Rose if you fancied trying one of them. The lil ceramic cup looks fiddly but there's bound to be an easy way to coil and wick it

Seems to be a bit of trial and error involved getting used to filling, rewicking etc until you get used to it and I've got the patience of a bad tempered dog with rabies and a headache hah

Says fogger 4.1 but in the discussion they reckon it's the 4.4 ? www.fasttech.com/forums/1873701/t/1403661/this-version-is-better-than-sku-1854702 Damnit I'm confused again hah I'll buy another rda for now and do some more googling

I really want one of them...even two maybe but they cannot take a kick in 18650 mode, think they can only take a kick in 18490 mode or something.

You are right about the kick situation though.. no room for 18650 + kick.. They're a great bit of kit by all I've heard/read so may be worth a go.. Other option is something like the sigelei 100w or green leaf ipv3(150w)? Both dual 18650 so should give decent runtime.. can go silly low ohms too should you want to play

MrsmacI've found Kayfuns to be very dependent on build to suit different juices. For instance. Red Astaire tastes best for me with a twisted (3 strands of 0.16) parallel coil at 0.7ohms (14.5w) whereas custard tastes best with a twisted (3 strands of 0.20) coil in the region of 3ohms (12.5w). Both using 3mm drill bit (2mm drill bit means less wick and more chance of a dry hit. I have spent so much time playing with the Kayfuns that I've got quite the knack! Saying that, some juices just taste better in some tanks and not others.. That even goes as far as saying what works in a Kayfun 3.1 won't necessarily work in a Kayfun Lite because of the different airflow characteristics. Red Astaire (60pg/40ag) has been my adv for months, but the flavour difference between a genuine Kayfun 3.1 and a cloned Rose (with the same build) is astronomical! There are notes of flavour there that I hadn't picked up on previously! Why? Simply because the Kayfun can only wick at a certain rate dependent on the juice's thickness and because of the way it uses pressure to feed the chamber. Try and build something that exceeds it's capability and it won't work to its optimum. The main strength of the Rose though is that it has the wick directly exposed to the juice and the wicking can be adjusted to suit with the juice control. It can be a very long journey finding the right rba for each juice and also very expensive! Worth it in the end though!

Thanks guys will look into trying different builds for the juices that are not working. At least my adv is sound. Never thought of a bigger coil. I currently do 2mm regular or diagonal.
The rose does sound like something to try out and was also looking at the taifun

Please don't laugh, but I'm actually quite annoyed. I have some flavours that I vape on a regular basis with my favourite being grape. I also own a few Kayfun clones which are doing very well. My problem is and probably not one that anyone can actually help with! Is that only my ADV tastes good in it! dont get me wrong, it's not a wicking issue, it is just all the other juices that I love (in a Protank or aerotank with cotton wick and micro) taste awful in the kayfun...wouldn't be so bad but I want to move over as I can't be bothered with the faffing with the Kanger heads and want a change from my adv at times! i know, perfectly nonsense rant over! It's not nonsense at all, every attie handles different juices in different ways. It's what your pallet makes of it that defines how good it is. I have my arctic honey, the stuff tastes best in an old CE3 smokeymizer or nearly as good in a CE2 clearo. I've found nothing else even with all the crap I have here that does a better job. So for me that's fair enough- I'll vape it in a CE3 and when my stash runs out then I'll be re-wicking CE2s

Thanks blakey I think it's because when I started with the Rebuildables the ocd part of me wanted all tanks the same...sad I know! I've got a ton of aerotanks and protanks for that reason. I think the point you made is spot on...why stress about it! If it tastes good in another tank then so be it will still try the other builds though Wonder if the taifun would be good for some of the other flavours as it kind of a bigger protank

Moral of this thread!! The grass isn't always greener on the other side hehe I pick up new attys probably every other week, 80% being clones but I find I always go back to my plumeveil. 24g kanthal, 5/6 wrap with cotton works a treat and if truth be known I have the same coils in it I have been using for the past 6/8 weeks with the same cotton as well. I only vape 2/3 juices and all of them compliment each other so I can switch it up to a different flavour without changing the cotton. I keep searching and buying.. But always go back to it. Maybe what you have actually works really well!!! I find it's any excuse to buy shiny things
