It says on Page 6 of the operating instructions, at part 5, that a "red operation indicator will illuminate while unit in operation".

Does this happen on your version?
Ive turned mine on and theres no red light, or even a place for it to come from?

nope. Just the green display and counts down when going..

lol Cheers mate. I gave it a go and its done okay. The drip tips are clean, but the part that screws into the battery still has a little black stuff in its track. Will give it another go for longer later
There are wee grey "feet" that are on the base and straight out the box two of them just fell off! lol.
Going to put some dual coils in to it next

Get some cotton buds and some isopropyl alcohol. Brings the crap off a treat! I use it to clean the contacts every week.
