Thought I'd have a go at a quad coil, twisted .23mm, 6 wraps on 2mm, in a big block 454 for .3 ohms, on a flip v3 with a 30 amp torchy bat up the spout loads of vapour but it dont half get thru the juice, its mental. Couldn't use this all day

Very nice. I find quads just aren't worth it for me, not much of a difference from a dual coil apart from it being a pain in the arse to set up on certain attys.
How you liking the big block? Been meaning to grab one for a while and just never got round to it.

HI Marcus to be honest I have to agree much prefer duals over the quads but thought I'd have a go at a quad to see what it was like and yes it is a pita to wick being vertical coil not much room on the bottom of the coil to feed the wick through, also I think I prefer something around .7ohm if I was going to subohm anyway. As to the big block its ok, but you need to make sure you trim the neg leads on the coil flush with the body or you won't get the top cap on, much prefer something like the magma or plume veil tho, easier to build

Cheers for letting me know. Like I say been thinking of getting one for a while and just keep forgetting. Do you use the ring to trap under or just wrap around the screws?

Just finished a build on the 454 dual coils 0.57ohms and another disappointment. Taste is OK vapour production is poor. I think I have done about 10 builds on this and I have yet to get something that I am happy with.

I trapped the coil under the ring but need to make sure you trim the legs flush with body or you wont get the cap on, but I know others wrap around the screws to avoid that

I use the same coil in single and in dual coil atys so nothing really special, it just works for me,

Sorry for delay macmagoo it's .23mm dia, 31 awg Thanks for that. I done a build with 30 awg dual coil flavour is excellent but not producing as much vapour as I thought it would, but you can't have everything.
