If I remember right the Bec Pro didn't get a very good review from Phil Busardo

You are right, but he was really putting it through the mill in a totally un "real world" way. Certainly no signs of heat excess from mine yet and it really does look first class. The finish is excellent

Yes, saw that, what`s that all about I wonder?   It`s a 50 pre order, with another to start when those are all taken up.

It does suggest that they may be cheaper if/when they go on general release going by past US only items.

I have to say the electronics of the tube version seem very good, I`ve used little else since I got mine. They are very picky with batteries. If you try and use anything other than 20amp+ batteries you get a power short message quite often, not a bad thing either
