The Erl looks a good design, but concerned by the fragility of the tank Greg, but when FT have them and the spare tanks are under a pound I take it you mean the glass tank option VB. I only have the plastic tanks and they are very robust OK I have always preferred plastic tanks, but those that vape tank crackers make so much noise you don't always have the option.

Have both, and the orchid is a much better atty all round. It's got the vapour production of an RDA with the flavour and ease of a tank. By far the easiest atty to coil as well. Pretty much the same deck as the plumeveil which is also my fave RDA My kayfuns are sat collecting dust now

I've given up on buying glass tanks from China, they tend to arrive with more parts than they're supposed to

Indeed, I juice cracked two PMMA kayfun tanks so bought about 20 from FT. no tank issues since they arrived it does make you wonder how Svoemesto have the cheek to charge about £12 a pop when FT charge 50 pence or less

When I retire I will make scale models of international landmarks out of vaping spares.

OK folks, appreciate your comments so far, but yet to be convinced. Two questions come to mind; firstly, do you have to put a dual coil setup in the Orchid, and also is the tank glass or PMMA/PC? Keep the comments coming, if nothing else this is useful information for new vapers who want to go down this route!

I'm going for it. Why not? If it's good, the Kayfuns can go on holiday until the day of reckoning.

I loose track of what version it's on now. Never in my whole vaping have I seen an atty come out and get modified sooooo much, soo quickly. Dont get me wrong there are like 40 Different kayfuns on FT, but the kayfun has been out years now and they are all pretty similar where as the orchid has evolved soo rapidly. I think this has to do with its popularity and just how great the original design is. Trust me, they are outstanding

Got an email this morning from FT asking if I wanted to cancel my order as part of the product description was wrong. It said glass tank, its actually plastic, the description has been altered. Doesn't affect my want for the product

Yeah I read about it yesterday in the FT forum where everyone was speculating that it wasn't glass etc..
I would still go for the V4, got a bigger chimney on it and the tank capacity is better than any of the others.

I love my Orchid clones! Got a V2 as well which is a massive improvement (has a bottom fill screw) Hopefully the tobeco v4 should be with me today The airflow is terrific on these atties and I find you can really pump some power through them. Been vaping mine at 27W and its keeping up like a champ!

paulymeatballs totally agree that they can handle a lot more power over a kayfun, taifun etc.. I have V1's which are amazing attys but the V2,V3 and now V4 Look absolutely spot on. Juice channels have been widened, airflow had been increased, bottom fill and larger capacity. Also, if anyone really loves their orchid you can actually buy a specific top cap for it with fill hole in it. Similar to the erlkonigin.
