Dremel will be great for that, Super-Shiny has a couple of great threads with those and would be a great person to ask about them & now I've tagged him maybe he could post or PM the links to those threads. Marcus i will give you some links later for some very cheap tools that is needed for the hammond box. Your a gentleman greatly appreciated and Cheers VapingBad for tagging

Forgot to add to my previous post (how rude of me).......cracking piece of work VapingBad ............ looks great m8 Marcus tools needed are: Taper Reamer 3 - 12mmSoft-Grip Needle File SetDrill 3mm holes for your 510 and buttons and use the Taper Reamer to make the holes bigger to the size you need, please note though even though the reamer says 3-12 that is from tip to the end, so to get a full 12mm out of it is not possible as when you twist it into the hole into the box the end of it will hit the inside of the box before it reaches the full length...should be perfectly fine if using tactile buttons but if you are using the larger buttons that require a 18mm hole than you will require a larger reamer. As for the cut-out for the display, mark it out on the box and drill a hole in each corner (must be inside the area you have marked out) then either...........Easy way would be to use a dremel and cut from drill hole to drill hole and then finely file the rest by hand to give a nice smooth cut-out or the hard way would be to file from drill hole to drill hole and then finely file the rest by hand to give a nice smooth cut-out. If you need any further help just PM me as i don't want to hog vapingbads post. Cheers Jason

Forgot to add Marcus if you want i can borrow you my reamers and i think i have a spare hammond box plus lots of solder and wire and flux/epoxy/heat shrink you can borrow, just need to pay for postage for me to send it to you and you will need to post it back when you are finished. Think i have enough spares for you to make a mod.

I will be in contact in the week when I have worked out exactly what I need and do a bit of research but I would certainly like to take you up on that offer, will send you a message and pick your brains if I can't get my head around something, Again, thank you ever soo much.

I've seen VapingBad DNA box mod in the flesh and held it It was crap- shoddy build and cheap looking and as you can tell - I'm not in the slightest bit envious of him Selfish git wouldn't even make one for me . Seriously though- the pics do not do this little mod justice

Could someone give me a rough idea of how much (excluding tools) it would cost for all the bits to make a boxmod like this?
Is it quite a saving over the prices that mod makers ask for?

Got a chance to compare the size to lairey Clairy's iStick, which I kept nicking to show people at the LSE meet. The iStick is the same height and depth, but about 5 mm thinner.
