Ok this may be a dumb question so if it is feel free to flame away
I am using a Kanger T3D tank with a Vision spinner II battery. When I have menthol juice in it it turns brown pretty quickly, like within a couple of hours. The more I vape the darker it gets. When it's really brown I dont seem to be getting any nic from it.
Is this normal? Is there anything I can do to help it or do I just need to put less juice in my tank.
As far as I can tell it's only the menthol juice this happens to but that is the only clear juice I use .

Liquids can get darker as time goes on, however I would guess that your coil and wick are gunked with oxidised juice. Try swapping in a new head and see if this improves things. rughead121

I did think of that. I tried a new coil but it is still the same. Ahh well probably just the juice. Or my ruined taste buds vaping with the voltage too high lol

rughead121 when you swap in the next head give everything a really good clean first because the taint from oxidised juice can "infect" the next fill. I make my own mix of mint and menthol and find that the wick needs changing about twice a week and at such time I dry burn the coil to de gunk it.

Ooh minty menthol sounds delish. Would you be willing to share the recipe and is it easy for a beginner's mix?

I do change my coil a couple of times a week for menthol, and swap tanks so that the one that was been used gets an overnight soak. So in other words fill with menthol on Sunday, Wednesday fill up a new tank with a new coil, and pop other into soak, bin coil. Maybe this stops it, or maybe it is your liquid?
What brand is it, and how old is it? Also what ohm is the coil, and what volts are you setting at?

I must be the opposite here as the coils in the tank I use for mint (peppermint or menthol) seem to go on for ever, and the wick never seems to go dark. Welcome to the weird and wonderful world of vaping lol.

rughead121 I use joosejuice peppermint conc and menthol conc , 12% mint 8% menthol 1% ethyl maltol (a sweetener) obviously the pg/vg percentages are to preference as is nic strength. Comes out like vaping extra strong mints, great palate cleanser!

The liquid is Vapeescape standard menthol and it's about 2 months old. I am using genuine kanger dual coils at 1.5 ohm. I usually have the voltage around 3.8 or 4.2 volts. I have been a bit paranoid about it and I have been throwing the dregs out and washing the tank out. I haven't been changing the coil so much as there is no drop off of taste or vapour. and it works well with different juice.

Oooh, I wouldn't have thought it was the juice at fault then, although these things happen.
I would stick with the 3.8 setting for a 1.5 coil.
All I can suggest is wash the tank extremely well , leave it to soak overnight, pop a brand new coil in and see what happens.
People seem to try to get overtime from their coils which I don't understand, yes we all want to make vaping as cheap as possible, but compared with smoking a new coil every few days is nothing. ( just a general comment , not aimed at you )
I will tag VE Jason for you .
I personally wouldn't even attempt to vape menthol which has gone dark , we just need to try to work out why yours is doing so.

I don't understand why op's menthol juice is going dark either, and as you say in later post I wouldn't be keen on vaping it either. Also as you say, maybe lowering the voltage on the 1.5 ohm coil might be the answer.

OK I have taken your advice. I have scrubbed out my tank and changed my coil. This was after an hour
